I do instances (BRD atm) with a small group (prot pally, 2 ele shamans, 1 priest). The pally holds agro and I sometimes run up and drop a Fire Totem near the group he holds. It never happend to me that dropping an FT draws agro from him. I had it sometimes with casting Fire Balls and it happens more with shocks.
