This image came to us straight from the Wrath of the Lich King beta -- and we'd love to have your beta screenshots, too! If you have anything our readers might like, beta or not, sharing it is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. No more battleground scoreboards, please.

Pretty sure last time Alex's new image was mentioned she was on the back end of a link with a spoiler warning attached, all i'm saying.

Seriously. Must we stop checking wow insider until we've fully explored WotLK ourselves?
Enough with the damn spoilers! Put a warning or something or hide the images!

I fail to see how this is a spoiler. We all know Malygos is going crazy, and Alexstrasza is up there to stop him. Its one of the main conflicts in Wotlk, the other being Arthas and the Scourge.
If this picture gave away massive plot-related spoilers, then fair enough. But it doesn't. There's a difference between spoilers and general game information.

So how long do we wait then? There will always be people who haven't seen this for themselves in-game.
I'm not saying that WI shouldn't be friendly to those who don't want things spoiled while it's still in beta, but this reason holds no merit whatsoever.

Why is she called Queen of all dragons? I thought she was just that of the red dragonflight.

She's sanest and most present, i'd guess.
Malygos and Deathwing are murderous nutjobs, the golden flight has lost their king again, the nether flight doesn't EXACTLY have one, and the two most likely candidates (the one by the netherdrakes in Shattrath and the big male flying above SMV) are too young. Ysera, if she's even still sane, herself, is stuck in her own Emerald Dream.

She was the first created by the Titans, I believe, and they bestowed the title upon her.

BTW Elizabeth, I think it'd be safe to at least mention who is in the image as part of the spoiler warning. (Although just saying "spoiler!" was enough to get me to click, even though I'd already seen this.)

I've heard and read about Alex being in Northrend but I believe stumbling upon her at your own pace when the game is released and without actually knowing what she looks like or where she is before hand is part of the awesome.

Well I'm sure they had to pick one of the aspects to be queen, why not her. The other female aspect is the queen (more or less) of the Emerald Dream.
I would've liked to see Tyrygosa as queen but meh I suppose, she's just a notable dragon. Hope she plays some part in WotLK.

I'm kind of upset by the model that they have for her. Sure it's an upgrade over a super generic looking dragon, but in the same stroke it still looks fairly generic. I know there isn't a whole lot that you can do with a dragon, as their looks are set in stone for the most part, but I'm sure blizzard could have done a bit more.

If you're in the beta and have seen her in-game and are saying this, you're nuts. I know art is subjective, but you're in the minority if you don't find Alexstrasza impressive.
