Realm Status plugin for Firefox

The realms are back up now, but we've all been through that wait before -- you've got things to do in Azeroth, but Blizzard is doing their updating, so you're stuck browsing around WoW Insider in Firefox. And here's a handy little tool to help you get back in the game as soon as possible -- the Realm Status Tool Firefox plugin will let you see the status of all the realms from right in the browser's toolbar, or even monitor a realm for you, and drop a note when its status changes.
Of course, if you just need to see what's up and down, the Realm Status page on Blizzard's site will do it for you, but the plugin will actually put up a popup when your selected realm is back up. So you can browse all you want, and know exactly the right time to log back into the game. It's been around for quite a while, though it's only at version .4, but I haven't had any problems with it yet. And it supports both US and EU realms, so no matter where you are, you can have it keep an eye on what your realm is up to.
Thanks, Berg!

As I can't look at the main WoW page from work (can with Europe's though), this will be quite nice for planning Tuesday lunch! :)

Nothing huge but will help a little on Tuesday mornings. And also will be an easy way to check if you get dropped and can't reconnect, instead of pinging guildy's on aim, you just check here and make sure "It's not just me"

Maybe unlucky, but the EU part isn't working for me ("Error loading realms").
I've tried the US part, seems ok but it could use some improvements, such like putting the monitored realm in the status bar.

EU doesnt work for me, either, rendering a nice little plugin completely worthless for my purposes.

If only it worked for the beta, too! *qq* Otherwise, it's a fun little add-on, and I could see it extended even more. Maybe showing how many players there are per server in total or on at any given time, or how many classes there are per server, etc.

Even on the US realms, I set it to monitor my primary server, and it seems to do so, then it throws up an error about not being able to read the realms.
Maybe if someone else would pick up development (no updates since February, no version history written on his umn.edu site since 2006 after he graduated..) this could really be great. Feels like abandonware at the moment.

Well if that plugin seeks info from the realm status page, it doesn't help for EU - atleast for me all realms seems to be up but when checking from the game, those aren't.

Anyone else not getting any EU realms up with this? Is it because of the Wednesday updates?

I like it! I actually made a small iPhone web-app for this. The objective being to minimise data usage and load time by using ajax requests...
feel free to check it out! http://www.iphonecraft.com/
(Not trying to spam here, just thought it was relevant, as I read this post on my iPhone!)

Finally, an addon that is useful to me.

Works fine for me on a U.S. server. Would be nice if someone perfected it more as it has some potential. I too would like to see the monitored realm in the status bar.

The EU Realmlist isn't a xml file, so this Plugin can not work.
Sorry for my bad english *blush*

if you could put this in your status bar it would be much better.
