Announcing the second annual WoW Insider BlizzCon meetup

Just like last time, we'll bring lots of prizes (and you may even get another round of trivia questions from me), plus you'll get the chance to meet and greet all your favorite WoW Insider bloggers (and commenters). And as you know if you were there last time, The Lost Bar has lots of great food and drink. And little boats to race!
So if you're headed out to BlizzCon and will be in town on Thursday night, October 9th, at 8pm (or are in town anyway and want to come say hi), definitely come by our second annual reader meetup. And stay tuned for more -- we're planning on having at least one more live event at BlizzCon (we have to record the WoW Insider Show sometime that weekend, right?), so we'll let you know more about our schedule there soon.

I really wish BlizzCon would come to the east coast. Boston? New York? There's certainly enough people to party it up at both oceans.

You all should have some kind of banner or sign this time or at least attempt to get people that are in the area to notice. Everyone was huddled in a little corner last time and it wasn't obvious that it was WoW Insider-related until a bunch of people finally showed up 30 minutes or so after the scheduled time and probably assumed that it must be WoW Insider.
The last meet-up was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it again this year.

To be honest, we were all pretty much certain that no one was going to show anyway, so we didn't do much to put ourselves out at first.
This year Mandie and I will be attending on behalf of omgRPG/GamePro, though we may "crash" the WoWI party - depends on how welcome we are, I suppose. Odds are we are going to be bumping in to the WoWI staff in the press rooms through out the convention either way.

I'm local, but one Blizzcon ticket short of going to the con, so I might try meeting up for the meet-up. I bet someone will try to order a kungaloosh. (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Kungaloosh)

I remember last year walking to the lost bar from the convention center. Lots of fun and met lots of cool folks.

Are you guys planning a Saturday meet-up? I'm not going to Blizz-con, and I can't meet on Thursday due to work and living in San Diego. Would like to meet-up on Saturday night to have a few drinks and meet some WoW fans though!

We may have a get-together on Friday night (stay tuned for more on that), but Saturday night we'll probably be too tired to do anything big with readers.
Even if you can't go to this though, don't worry -- we're planning more events for the Wrath release, and we will probably be having some things go down all over the country, too. Stay tuned to the site, when we have more news we'll post it.

thought I'd be kind and at least drop a note to some folks that I know at The Lost Bar to alert them that a large group is coming in again...
On the other end of things, I'll be there with my brother and my wife's cousin since the wife will be working at the other end of the resort until almost 10 from my understanding.
