Depends on how you look at it. In my view its Engineering that's pathetic, I do get goggles, but they're replaced in the Kara of WotLK. The signature item everyone knows is engineering, the motorcycle, is BoE and usable by non-Engineers. The "doodads" replace regular enchants and are inferior to them for regular use. Where you instead get as a BS extra sockets that apply even after you've geared up and stack with enchants.
