BigRedKitty: Crab, Cat, and Serpent
Daniel Howell contributes BigRedKitty, a column with strategies, tips and tricks for and about the Hunter class, sprinkled with a healthy dose of completely improper, sometimes libelous, personal commentary.
We've seen the Age of the Scorpid, but Crabs have always been a bit of a rarity. They're Tenacity pets in Wrath of the Lich King, and you may find their Pin spell to your liking.
Cats? Nobody uses cats, do they? Nah. But just for historical purposes, we'll show you Cats in WotLK too.
Do you think you could use a hunter-pet that permanently reduces a caster's cast-time by 50%? Look at Serpents, their Poison Spit, and dare to dream.
You are invited to download the YouTube version (81MB) of this movie here, and the full-sized version (120MB) here.
As always, a great big Thank You to the WoW Insider editors for allowing us to publish this movie both here and on our little blog at the same time!

Playing on the beta as a Marks hunter, the Crab's Pin ability is the only thing that keeps a mob off me when soloing. I don't think growl is actually properly adjusted yet, as other pets don't even come close to holding aggro even when I'm only auto-steady shotting (except maybe when I have Aspect of the Viper on).

Maybe let the pet to grab aggro first? And start attacking after the second Growl?

No offense, but is there any way you can, you know. Not talk like that? I enjoy your movies, but sometimes it's hard to figure out whats going on when I have to either have it on mute, or want to tear off my ears.
I mean, I'm sure some people find it charming. But is there any chance you can just talk normally?

There is always an option to, you know, not watch what you don't like. Yeah, sounds crazy, but it just might work.
That is one of the things that make BRK what he is - his own commentary style. Most people like it, therefore no, he won't stop just because you don't like it.

Love the videos, I just wish he would step foot into some of the battlegrounds or do some world PVP, to show off some pet abilities. PVE is great, and I bet easier for making a video, but I'd love to see the whole picture. :D
