I can't stand the elitist QQ. This is not YOUR game, even if you down Kil'Jaeden the fastest, or have full S4 and are on top of the arena ratings. You do not own this game, and do not deserve to shape it to your whims. World of Warcraft has probably the biggest, continuously connected, player base of any game ever. You are not a special unique snowflake that needs to be comped and catered to in order for this game to continue to succeed.
The biggest complaints about "nerfing" that I see are the 10 man raids that are coming in WotLK. The forums of most major sites that cater to WoW are full of QQ about "ezmode" raids and how 10 man raid groups don't "deserve" to down Arthas, and all kinds of crap like that. Blizzard saw a need to engage a greater portion of the community in endgame content. Smaller guilds greatly outnumber hardcore 25 man progression guilds, and are usually made up of players that are friends and enjoy playing with each other enough that they don't cut and run just for some e-prize gear.
If players like this start to leave WoW because they're bored with the game options, and don't have the time or desire to play the politics of a 25 man raiding guild, then Blizzard has a BIG problem. They know this, and are acting accordingly. There are still 25 man raids, and they even still have better gear. So you can stand resolute in the middle of Dalaran, or whatever major city you prefer, with whatever Legendary weapon will drop from the last raid of WotLK, and stroke your Epeen in front of everyone. But don't expect us to pay attention, we've got our own raids to go to, with our friends.
EDIT: The 30% HP "nerf" to raid content in BC is a direct result of new game mechanics. Many buffs no longer stack (Battle Shout/Blessing of Might, ect.), some mob debuffs that used to affect everyone in the raid's damage will only effect the player that cast the debuff now, and things like Bloodlust/Heroism, Leatherworking Drums, and Health/Mana potions can no longer be chained during encounters. Endgame content, especially Sunwell, was tuned with the idea that raids would be doing everything, including all the things listed above, to get an advantage. Now that these things are not possible, some raid encounters would be insurmountable, even in peak gear and skill. Blizzard has said this, other people have pointed it out, but any change that is perceived as a "nerf" to content is inevitably decried by a very vocal minority, even if they are ignorant (possibly willfully) of the facts.
Good day.
