Interesting. I didn't target the ground with the Dark Iron Ale, but the actual NPC. JubJub came running up after a minute. It took me a total of 2 Ale's to get my unhatched egg (out of the 80 or so I collected from doing the brewfest daily). I also scored two Wood Frogs. The respawn for them seems to be really short, less than 10 minutes.
