WoW Insider Show Episode 58: Live at BlizzCon

And as if that wasn't enough, we've got another surprise, too: the folks from The Guild will be right there with us. Felicia Day and her cohorts will have a panel during the day, but they're spending the evening with us, so we'll talk to them about making the series, their experience with WoW, and what they think of all the craziness that's sure to be at BlizzCon. We'll have some other guests from around the community as well: both Totalbiscuit from WoW Radio and Starman from World of Warcast will be on hand to talk shop with us. And as is usual on the WoW Insider Show, we'll talk about everything going on in World of Warcraft, our most popular posts on the site, and don't be surprised if we have some good giveaways for passers-by to win as well.
It's going to be a lot of fun, and you'll get to see us make the show right there in front of your very eyes. Friday night at 8pm, come right outside the Convention Center, and look for the WoW Radio setup, because that's where we'll be. Everybody have a safe trip out to BlizzCon, and have a great time while you're out there.

Sounds like it will be a great show! :]
Niekon Oct 7th 2008 2:09PM
was wondering how the show was going to air this wknd, but there you have it, it's going to be Friday night instead of Saturday afternoon.
vlad Oct 7th 2008 2:14PM
wait, what about our date mike?
Mike Schramm Oct 7th 2008 3:22PM
We're recording it Friday evening, Niekon, but I believe it will air as usual on Saturday at 3:30.
TotalBiscuit Oct 7th 2008 4:23PM
What Mike said. The taping is happening on the Friday, the broadcast will occur at the usual time on the Saturday on the Studio stream.

I like this particular blog site. I really do. But dang! I don't know exactly what would drive me to feel any level of excitement or anticipation or anxiety over meeting the guys that write the posts. I just don't associate this, or the radio show, with any kind of celebrity.
Add the fact that there's not even a hint of humility in this post and wow!
The guys from The Guild should be the dominant feature of the story, framed nicely by a humble post from Mike Schramm.
Though, I should keep my mouth shut or I will lose out on my once in a lifetime "chance to meet and greet" with blog writers.
/tongue-in-cheek :)

Well, they've done 58 episodes so far, and i've listened to and enjoyed all of them. That's 58 hours of entertainment where I've sat down and listened to these folks talk. I think it'll be super cool to meet them in person and watch a show taping.
But that's just me.

Nicely played Blackhorn.
I wish I could be there. I expect you all to make it at least as exciting for us to listen to as it is to be there.
And TB shouldn't comment unless he can do it in his accent. And he should say something about Exploding Bears with Lasers that Breathe Acid.....

Do I understand correctly that you'll be recording the shows from OUTSIDE the convention center? So, if it's really windy, won't that affect the audio quality?
TotalBiscuit Oct 8th 2008 3:45AM
We'll be getting around that problem by using hyper-directional super-cardoid mics with wind-shields. Those things don't pick up anything that's not directly in front of them.

Woot! Can't wait to see you all there.
