Yes, because for the same reason melee dps should attack from behind, it's the same reason you do NOT want mobs behind you: it completely changes the attack table. Death knights won't block so that isn't an issue like it is for a pally and warrior, but it will remove parry off of the attack table (DK have fairly high parry) which will raise all of the other mobs chance to hit/crit. Very likely you will also get dazed as well so you probably still won't get there as fast as you would like.
If you REALLY have to move, the best action is to usually walk backwards. Usually it's already a huge mess at this point, and for some reason in my experience, melee dps seem to be unable to compensate for the tank actually moving the mob. Sometimes they will just stand there, and other times they will start attacking something out of the kill order.
