Submit a question for the devs to answer at BlizzCon!
Just popping in with a quick note here; even if you're not going to BlizzCon, you can still enter a contest to have a question answered live by the developers.I braved the red tape for you all to figure out the following:
- You have to be at least 13 years old.
- You can't be a resident of North Dakota, Connecticut, Vermont, or Maryland in the U.S., Quebec in Canada, or Queensland, Victoria, or the Australian Capital Territory in Australia. Otherwise, if you're a player in the U.S., Canada, most nations of the E.U., South Korea, Singapore, or Australia, you should be eligible. No word on Russian, Mexican, or Latin American players so you guys may, like me, be ineligible.
- You have until 4:00 pm PST October 11th (this Saturday) to enter the contest.
The actual submission form is right here if you're interested (with the laundry list of rules here if you want to make sure you're eligible to win), and you can ask any question related to Starcraft, Diablo, Warcraft, or World of Warcraft. Good luck!

So... why can't us Marylanders ask a question?
NoTomorrow Oct 9th 2008 8:12PM
I can haz recon- oh wait, wrong game.
Why was sweeping strikes changed from fury to arms?As a fury warrior myself, I liked that talent very much. I can see the usefullness in pvp, but it has saved my ass so many times against multiple mobs that I will be sad to see it be missing from my arsenal. (true, I can pick it up later, but being a lower level I will not initially have access to it. Just curious.

Otto von Ultima Oct 9th 2008 8:30PM
So you can't live in the ACT and enter, but you can live in New South Wales (which surrounds the ACT) and it's fine. ... What the...?
Greg Oct 9th 2008 8:32PM
Why no connecticut..what wacko law do we have, did they just look at amap and randomly get rid of some states
Killu Oct 9th 2008 8:36PM

Replex Oct 9th 2008 8:40PM
There is infact some crazy law in these states, I just can't seem to remember it off the top of my head.

Phil Oct 9th 2008 9:42PM
What game concept would you most like to see in the game that is not in it, or currently planned to be in it?
Marysia Oct 9th 2008 10:08PM
I think there's a law against random-drawing contests in some states... which I guess applies even to this. :(
Aerei Oct 9th 2008 10:39PM
Geez. No Queensland? What arse.
Keyra Oct 9th 2008 10:57PM
Submitted, and probably a bit scathing, really. In essence, I'm wondering why we, who are still fairly new to the game, don't seem to matter anymore. WoW Insider and other newsgroups, even Blizzard itself, seems hell-bent upon reporting only what is in WotLK, and seems to have forgotten altogether about the MAJORITY of its subscriber base who is still trying to figure out how best to complete the quests in Arathi Highlands and so on.
Like I said...perhaps a bit scathing...but well to the point.
Magma Oct 9th 2008 11:30PM
Because unlike you, the MAJORITY is at 70 and plans on doing wrath right away.
Zerounit Oct 9th 2008 11:30PM
I think a lot of that can be answered in two ways.
1. In defense of blogging sites, they report on news. It's not often any journalism service reports on old news and events, likewise people are wanting to know more about the newer Wrath content. It points towards what your character is headed for once you hit near to end game. Blizzard responds to this by, in essence, giving people what they want.
2. In many cases, mid game content is buffed up in the major patches between expansions. The most recent note of interest I can think of is the lowering of mount eligibility from 40 to 30. Spells and abilities get reworked, mobs or quests are made easier by making objectives non-elite, sometimes even talent trees change. Remember how they added a quest hub to Dustwallow Marsh? Mid game isn't ignored, it just doesn't get a invite-only beta test realm.
