BlizzCon 2008: WoW Insider's second annual BlizzCon Reader Meetup

The Horde, I have to say, seemed to have the higher population, but Alliance made a good showing as well. And a few full guilds came out to see us: shoutouts to Thee Unforgiven on Destromath (the good folks above), Keine Neuen on Malganis, and Dread Pirates on Blackrock, not to mention all of the other awesome readers and guilds that stopped by. They're all in our gallery below -- thanks to everyone who came out for making it such a great time.

Sounds like the damn bartender didn't level up their skills! Heh. Good stuff, can't wait to be there next year. Right now they are looping the 3 latest trailer/game intros on Direct TV and have a big countdown. Exciting stuff from here so it much be buzzing there!!! :)

question, and im not being a smart ass but did you tell the bar in advance that you were hosting this event and may expect 50-500 people to show up at their establishment?
or did you perform your famous trick like here on WI when you just post a link to a website with no notice to the operator of the site and it gets hammered? (and kills their ad revenue)
i could see it now. no advanced notice, 200 people show up and they have one bartender because it thursday and not a normally busy night.
you cant really complain about that if you did not warn them. however if you did then they are to fault for not being prepared.
