I quite agree. My arcane rotation is not pretty but it is effective. Though i tend to use:

Slow (Finally it becomes useful with "Torment the Weak" - Hate the name) --> Arcane Barrage --> Arcane Blast --> Arcane Barrage -- Arcane Missile --> repeat.

You should, even without the go faster arcane missiles proc-ing, you should have just enough time to recast Slow and continue getting the benefits.
