With the changes to give warriors and druids some AOE tanking abilities are they now as reliable as prot palies tanking multiple mobs?Currently in live servers a mage can spam Arcane Explosion and get no aggro while a protection paladin is tanking several mobs. Will I be able to do the same with my protection warrior in WotLK?

I haven't had the opportunity to actually tank anything on the PTR with my warrior, but I have played around solo with the new Prot. talents. My gut reaction tells me that Paladins will still continue to be the king of AoE tanking. Personally, I think it would be a great disservice to them if Blizz made others just as good in that role. However, the change to allow warriors and druids the ability to hit an unlimited number of targets means that those nasty pulls where theres lots of non-elites (like the ballroom in Kara or the end of BF) as well as moderately large pulls (like the end of SH with 7 in a group) should be a lot cleaner. Since the tank can hit all of them, that should give a little more buffer to the healers from pulling the random ones TC and Swipe decided not to hit. Bear in mind though, TC does still have a cooldown, (and Swipe still costs a ton of rage,) while the Pally's Consecrate can be up all the time, and you will realize why they can do a much better job of controlling groups en masse. And when that warlock or mage does decide to pull off you, Warbringer goes a long way to help getting it back (charge in any stance). And a quick cast of Vigilance (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=50720) will give them a bit more buffer too.
