just came back to wow after a long break. so im a little confused on hhow inscription could be implemented/ learned without buying WOTLK, or is it not like that?
Flint Oct 13th 2008 8:10AM
Apparently inscription trainers can be found in all major cities and not just Northrend areas.

Inscription is available to learn to 375 if you have The Burning Crusade. They did this differently from Jewelcrafting.
There will be trainers in each of the Alliance cities on Azeroth to learn Inscription up to 300 as well as Trainers in Honor Hold and Thrallmar for 300-375.

Yeah, Inscription is different from Jewelcrafting in one key way: it isn't gear dependent. You apply a glyph to your character, rather than a weapon, boots, or whatever else. There really wasn't any point to release Jewelcrafting before BC was released because there was no socketed gear.

Actually I think that all available inscription recipes go grey at 355, and you are not able to go above that until Wrath. (from what I've read on random inscription guides)

My understanding is that you won't be able to train Grand Master Inscription in Azeroth or Outland - the trainers will be in Dalaran. Much like how all the Jewelcrafting trainers are in Exodar, Silvermoon, or Outland - to prevent people who didn't buy BC from training it.

I've been leveling a shaman as enh, and I'm currently in the mid-40's. How will my leveling change? I'm not sure what to prioritize in terms spec in 3.x. I do know that STR is being nerfed to 1 AP and Agi is 1 AP + crit (rogue-style) so I need to pick up hunter mail.
Matt J Oct 13th 2008 12:22PM
At lvl 40 your leveling time will not be affected, your 60-70 leveling time should be decreased. And yes you will want more "hunteresque" items, although while leveling your gear really doesn't matter all that much, your baseline spells provide most of the punch you need, just stick to quest rewards and random drops you can use. You can deal with itemization at max level.

ya is there any word on if there bringing spell power back to Deep Freeze??? or if its goin to remain a lvl 60 version of Hammer Of Justice only with more restrictions.
Stormsurge Oct 13th 2008 8:10AM
I'm confused as to whether they increased the leveling speed between lvl 60 and 70. Everywhere I go there is a different answer to that.
Rugus Oct 13th 2008 8:12AM
The answer is *YES*, leveling speed 60->70 will be increased. Confirmed by blue on US forums.
Vylemacer Oct 13th 2008 8:13AM
Yes, they defiantly reduced the amount of experience needed to lvl from 60 to 70.
mcdrobert Oct 13th 2008 8:34AM
30% xp required to lvl and 30% more xp off mobs (TBC only).
This is also in line with 30% less health on all TBC mobs and reduced dmg on all TBC mobs (including all bosses)(i dont have a % for the dmg).
I am no one special nor a blue so my words are not set in stone but thats the conclusion i have came to in the past weeks.
mcdrobert Oct 13th 2008 8:37AM
EDIT: ***30% less xp required***
sorry
Kastirin Oct 13th 2008 4:39PM
I had heard only bosses had 30% less health. Can anyone confirm?
Joseph Oct 13th 2008 8:18AM
Healing to Spell Power transition. Do you have anything written up that details it and how it'll affect healers?
Tusk Oct 13th 2008 8:26AM
As a healer, the numbers in your character pane will be drastically reduced, but once you put your talents back in you should notice very little difference in how hard your heals are hitting for.

where do babies come from?
Elmo Oct 13th 2008 8:11AM
Mainly how I need to gem my Enh Shaman after tomorrow. where should I head for in terms of hit crit spell crit agi and int?
I have enough badges and my guild plans on keeping progressing so I will regem.

Will this patch include the new shaders?
Will the new Sylvanas model and Varian Wrynn's throne be added?
