I was on the PTR a while back (about before Living Bomb got its knockback removed, but that's besides the point) and it seems that Fire is a whole lot better in PVP mainly because Blast Wave knocks back and we get a free Flamestrike after every one, and after a Dragon's Breath. I beat an affliction warlock in a duel with 600hp left and I felt accomplished. That being said, be prepared to die from Metamorphed Demonology Locks (they will charge you, then their Felguard will, then they will etc.).
