Yeah I'd love to see a shadow version as well. I'm about to give up my Shaman for either a Shadow Priest or a Mage and I want to make sure I'm making all the right decisions.

Offhand, I'm leaning towards the shadow priest (mages seem a bit neglected) but I've seen no hard numbers that indicate whether or not shadow is a viable DPS spec. I know that increased DPS was the developers' intent with the class/spec but if SPriests have seen a loss of utility with only a minor DPS increase then I can only imagine the perpetual requests for respeccing.

And I'm fine with that. I just don't want to be forced into the healing role permanently. I've been resto most of my WoW career and I want to play a dps class (albeit with some utility).
