Essential addons for Patch 3.0.2 [Updated x6]
Let's take a look at what addons are working for patch 3.0.2. First a simple rule taken from the UI forums post done by Kaydeethree: "Any 'Wrath beta' compatible mod will work in 3.0.2." With that said, there is a long and comprehensive listing of 3.0.2 compatible addons over on WoWWiki. But the fun doesn't end there. The next step is obtaining all those new addons. I've compiled a large set of the essential addons and linked to at least one direct download source after the break. Each download source is either trusted beyond doubt – or tested and confirmed to be virus free.
Finally, you'll want to combine the addons into a nice looking UI. Check out our special edition of Reader UI of the Week for a look at five complete 3.0.2 compatible UIs.
We're posting this list now, and will continue to update it throughout the day. Begin your addon downloads as quickly as possible to avoid hangups later in the day when download servers become overloaded.

- These addons should still be considered beta. While the transition from 2.4.3 -> 3.0.2 will be much smoother than the Burning Crusade transition that occurred two years ago, there will still be problems here and there. Be ready to trouble shoot and go without your favorite addon for a bit.
- Your addons are stored in your World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons folder. Be sure to remove all your old addons before you start updating.
- Some old 2.4.3 addons may still work. However your milage may vary.
- After you have updated your addons, select "Load out of date addons" in the addon selection window, which is accessible while you're at the character selection screen. This may help solve a few things.
- WoWInterface has two great resources up: a very large addon list of their own, and a Patch 3.0 Survival Guide.

Correction, X-perl 3.0.0g is working just fine now. It appears Curse had the downloader pointing to a wrong (older) version of the file, but it's been corrected.

So I erased all of my old addons, downloaded the updated versions and put the newest versions in the addon folder, but for some reason when I start WoW, the Addon button isn't there. I erased the addons once more, downloaded them again and still no addon button. So I looked up this problem and someone said to erase the WFT and WTB (I think that's what it is) folders. So, after setting up my UI, the interface was glitchy and there was still no Addon button on the character selection screen! So now I have an interface that's not as good of quality as b4, but there is still no Addon button. Is this a result of the patch maybe? Do I need to reinstall WoW?

Anyone else had problems with auctioning non-soulbound pets? I am getting a message telling me I can't auction items with used charges. Tried with all add-ons turned off, tried with different characters, and still get message. Anyone else? Any ideas?

You forgot "Chinchilla". It's by far the best minimap addon that I've used.

I'm 95% vanilla. I won't go anywhere without Omen; hellva lot easier to slow down at 80% then to vanish at 130% aggro. That, and DBM does it for me. I could use PallyPower, haven't gotten it yet as I'm waiting for xpac, and Auctioneer is a must.
But most of the addons are extranous. My WoW UI has worked for me quite well.
