Polar Bear Mount is live and Bind on Account

The redemption now works. You can go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/promotion.html and fill out the forum there to get your prize all setup. Take the code that's given to you and head to Ransin Donner in the Forlorn Cavern in Ironforge – not the guy in STV like the page says. Turn in the code to Ransin and you'll be presented with a Bind on Account Polar Bear Mount!
Yes – Bind on Account! That means you can use the mount on any of your characters on the same account. Very cool for those of us with tons of alts.
Take a look at the gallery below for what the polar bear mount looks like. You'll probably see a few of these pop up over the next few days in your travels around Azeroth.

Ugliest mount in game imo. It'd be much nicer without the flag or murloc.

Actually, I think the only redeeming feature is the murloc, everything else is ugly.

When you redeem the code, if you scroll down a bit, it tells you who to go to in Orgrimmar for the horde.
Same guy who does the prior BlizzCon murloc goodies.

The mount may be live, but the servers are most definately still dead.

Bind to server is more like it, unless I'm missing how you can transfer this cross-server.

Not the best answer, but:
Put it on all alts on one server, then give the item to one you don't care about and pay to transfer him to another.
Not the best options, and it seems like it'd be nice to do cross-server stuff, but it seems to be the only way for now.

wait...isnt it a code your supposed to put it? whats stopping you from doing that on another server then your main server?

Blide - With the redemption system in most case, when you first enter the code on the website, you choose which realm you're redeeming the code for. It then gives you ANOTHER code to use at the vendor on that server. You can't redeem the original 25-character code for another server, and you can't use the in-game code on a different server.

Did Adam miss the previous announcement that most Blizzcon items (and some others) were being converted to bind-on-account? It goes further than just being able to transfer the mount to another toon to use it. When you transfer it to a toon, you click it to LEARN the spell but the item doesn't disappear, meaning you can then send it to another toon. So not only can it be used my any toon on your account, but all of them can have the mount spell at once.

This means you were able to log in.... I'm envious. My server still doesn't exist.
