Servers starting to come back online

The realms coming up will also give us a chance to sort out the saga of the patch notes, and figure out what exactly is being included in this patch in the way of class changes. Is your realm up yet? What are you going to do first when it is?
Update: Blizzard is now saying it might take until 3 PM PST/6 PM EST 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST 6 PM PST/9 PM EST for all the realms to be up.

Same. The only realms I'm able to actually enter are Oceanic.

uuuuuum Has anyone noticed the death knight slot on the create-a-character thing? I don't have a 55 character soooooo I"m really sure if it's functional or not.

silly me, i forgot this is a pre-wrath patch and it's probably not functional at all. When the pre-BC patch released, they did the same thing with Draenei and Belfs, so I guess it's just there to torture us....grrrreeeat

They really need to take the "faded" text another step down. If faded text continues to get voted down, it ought to "collapse" to just a single line you'd have to click on to see. Trolls/malcontents like Vlad should get as little satisfaction as possible...

Prepare for a long wait, even if your realm is up. Tried logging onto one of my characters, and sat at "Walking your character from china" prompt for 5 minutes before I canceled.

My realm is up. I think the first thing I'll do is look at the 'Retrieving Characters' dialogue for twenty or thirty minutes.
There is a nice new WotLK login screen, though.

Well im getting to my character, the blue loading bar fills, the music stops...then after 10 minutes it says,
"character not found".....
yay...
