Updated 3.0.2 Patch notes from Blizzard
A short time ago Blizzard posted new patch notes on their website for patch 3.0.2. We've updated our post to reflect the new notes, splitting it into Part I and Part II.Today has been nothing less than interesting. The initial patch notes released with client were woefully incorrect, and then Ghostcrawler announced that many changes we've seen in the classes from the PTR and the Wrath of the Lich King beta will not be immediately available tonight, with some changes not coming into the live game until November 13th.
The repercussion of today's events are not yet known. No one can get into the game to see exactly what things are like. Ideally the severs will be going online in about an hour and fifteen minutes from now. We will keep you posted throughout the day and evening as things develop.

I hope they come up soon, lets hope that 12 hours was enough to iron out potential hiccups that are always associated with patch days (Wishful thinking I know).

It's called screwing up another patch :) Get used to it now that Greedy Kids (Activision) own Blizzard.

Why does every1 hates Activision? It's not like they r EA...
I like activision.

Why ppl hate Activision? Wow - where should I start? They're making WoW into their money cow...? Blizz is forced doing stuff they would never do - like selling PvE-PvP transfers, name changes, going out with unfinished work (patches, wotlk...), making this game to be mindless button smashing PoC for kids and noobs...
Thiosion Oct 15th 2008 6:14PM
@Mark.
How does Activision affect how Blizzard runs their game? PvE to PvE transfers, yes, but is that a bad thing anymore?
Activlizzard was a financial deal. They control the corporate aspects of Blizzard, not the technical ones.

The proof is in the pudding as they say. Most of games released under activision's umbrella have been extremely buggy and incomplete.
As for their "first" mmorpg ownership (wow), is no exception. The patch reeks of Activision all over it. How it was handled, how it was released. How the expansion is coming along, everything.
Havent you noticed that every since the Greeds got their hands on Blizzard, everything have been going down hill?
And those who vote down is most likely under their dollar. Anybody who's been in life long enough would think before they vote on comments.

BTW, The servers been going up for the last 15 minutes. Just keep an eye out on the server list.

Conspiracy theorists unite! Activision is not stupid enough to mess with their new cash cow. Do you really think they came in and with less than a year of a merger under their belt started dictating terms to the single most profitable segment of their new empire? Grow up.

1 HOUR TO GO!!!! ... Come on clock ... Tick FASTER!!!!!
Mcdreamyelune Oct 14th 2008 4:13PM
Exactly Gus,
I have today off, and I've been stir crazy waiting for the patch to hit. I've mowed my grass, did landscaping in the backyard, played with my dogs, and washed my dishes.
Hurry up, servers!
infection Oct 14th 2008 4:42PM
you wash dishes?
welcome to 1950
vlad Oct 14th 2008 5:37PM
yea, because from the neolithic period some 12,000 years ago to 1950, no one ever used or washed dishes at all.

We shall see...

So, can anyone confirm whether or not the new experience bonuses are in place? I know of at least a half-dozen people who have held off grinding their level 60 alts because it was announced that it would be in the patch, but I haven't seen anything in any of the notes about it.
Laidanyl Oct 14th 2008 4:28PM
Seconded. I'm one of those people, and everyone assured me that the leveling changes came with 3.0.2, but now I'm more than a bit skeptical...

The patch notes are officially FUBARed - they did not keep proper accounting of patch notes during patching beta, PTR and the internal releases, so it is near impossible for them to come up with a complete and proper patch note document for the live release version. Mostly it is because of how things changed forth and back in beta and release notes for beta patches (where they existed) referred to previous beta patches or even to unreleased alpha patches.
FUBAR - Fuc*ed Up Beyond Any Repair (US military terminology).
