I am currently hearing conflicting reports about the Beast in UBRS... Has anyone actually tamed the Beast. Some hunters are saying its now tamable some are not? I know it should not be possible since he is a BOSS and always for terms of player abilities +3 levels above effectively. And since hunters can only tame their LV or lower he should be off the taming table.

well its moot anyhow. Its possible with just a Druid (who can heal) and a Hunter to Two man tame a MC Corehound. All it takes is a little moxie and perseverance.Basically you can bypass all the mobs by just hugging the right hand wall and running off the edge of the ledge by the 1st set of giants (we used a sacrificial pet to do distract the giants) and FD on the ledge. The druid simple stealth's past the same mobs and drops down on the ledge the hunter just did. Since druids now have an OOC rez if the hunter dies or falls in the lava (this does happen) the druid just rez's himback up and onto the ledge. Then following the ledge and hugging the right hand wall you can get to the point of the instance where you start heading down to Gehennas. Right there if you drop down your basically safe, though I recommend staying up there and marking the 3 pathing Dogs with Raid Skittles so you know where they are. Also should the hunter position themselves right the druid can heal from the ledge while the hunter tames the pet.It takes some practice but last night using my Healing pali (thank god for OOC rez LOL) and my Feral Druid. I got my Girlfriend the pet she has wanted since we 1st raided MC. The Classic Core Hound.Note there are 3 mobs who path by/near this point. Go look up an old MC map with mob paths you can see the 3 core hounds you can get. Also remember hunters the mob has to be attacking you in-order for you to tame it so plan it out so you can hit the Core hound with some big DPS shots before the healer goes after it. If needed bring in a second hunter for a extra MD threat boost.Core Hound munching you good... Core Hound munching healer Bad.Of course if you have access to 5 or more friends just raid the damn place and save yourself the stress, but it is possible to do this without a lot of people.
