Yes, I've seen paladins do DPS for a change :-D
Naix Oct 17th 2008 10:58AM
And damage they do!
We ran the entire Kara raid last night in 1 hour and 50 minutes. The whole thing! When I say ran we almost never stopped for mana or health. We had 4 ret Paladins, 1 warrior tank, and Druid OT. We pulled multiple mobs, never marked, and only 1 wipe on prince.

Last night in Kara, I pulled Midnight and all of the mobs before him all at once. If you want to see a paladin dps, go prot and tank 20+mobs :P.
Same as the previous poster; never stopped for mana, never wiped (Except on chess, lawl. It was glitched though). 1hr 12 minute full clear.

I forgot to mention that by the end of the run, my healer let me know that he had only been casting renews on me for most of the run.
The new nerfed kara is a joke.

Last night I tanked Heroic SP as a Retribution paladin in Prot gear, some scary moments but otherwise great fun, is doable as long as you keep Judgement and Seal of Light up

More topics about hunters please, Hunter Insider doesnt have enough!
...
NoTomorrow Oct 17th 2008 8:15AM
The reason there have been so many posts about hunters is because 3.0.2 is really the patch of re hunter. Sure, all the other classes got nice upgrades, but the largest and certainly the coolest changes have been with hunters. This patch has made me want to level a hunter now, as their viabilty in any situation has been upped considerably, with 3 different pet styles that are all meant for different purposes. Not many other class changes have been as large as the changes to the hunter, and so this site has a right to do a lot of coverage on them.
Falcio Oct 17th 2008 8:34AM
Please, keep saying that. I don't think you've driven your point home yet.
Especially on a topic that only used Hunters as examples, not as topics.
*sigh*

Then you'll enjoy today's warrior column, "All About Hunters".

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one sick of Hunter Heaven.
RyuHakubi Oct 17th 2008 1:39PM
Please, complain more. Obviously people are just thrilled to hear more and more blood elf style /cry about the hunters, when they're, arguably, the most changed class this patch. Maybe you can work in a Nerf Ret whine as well, I'm saddened by the lack thereof.

My rogue healed AQ40?

We went to MC so one of our hunters could get a Corehound. Raid was 1 prot warrior, 1 holy priest, 3 hunters a dps druid, and me a 68 lock. Something went screwy on a 2 pull, and our tank went down quick, our druid popped into bear and grabbed one of the elites, and I got to jump into demon form to tank the other. I've never had more fun playing my warlock then I have when I'm tanking!
superfrank Oct 17th 2008 8:22AM
prot warrior changes seem big too! lets hear more about them :p
Falcio Oct 17th 2008 8:36AM
.......
That's odd...um...that post was going to Farfromout, not you, Mike. Sorry. Weird.

@NoTomorrow,
Long after the novelty of the huntard changes have faded, this patch will long be remembered as the patch of the Paladin.
Hunters can kid themselves all they want, but the echoes of doom you hear are those of the Lich King and no class has quite the beef with Arthas that paladins do. Mages can come along though since he did lay siege to Dalaran.
Why don't you go get yourself a shiny new gun and some bullets and play along, um tay? /pat

It also might be known as the first time that Enhance shamies didn't get nerfed. I can managed to down 70 elites now, solo, and can easily handle 5 70's at once, and leave with full health/mana.
May they still be underestimated by the collected weight of inane forum QQ.
I think everyone got a buff in this one. Though I agree that pallies are a bit sick right now. Even my lv20 can MT, with a 1 hander, and never run low on mana or health.
Sylythn Oct 17th 2008 8:10AM
I DPSed as holy for most of a Kara run because we're all so damned OP. I'm not liking this. And the lag outside instances is keeping me from trying out stuff on my own.
Reidis Oct 17th 2008 8:12AM
I healed a reg sv run as ret, definately more fun beating up stuff and healing at the same time than standing in the back and spamming fol.

Protection warrior looking for dps spot. :D
