Not going 12 points into MM to grab Go for the Throat is a huge, huge mistake. Those crazy cool 51 point exotic pets will do very little damage if they have no focus. You can turn claw/bite off autocasting which will help - but it will also nerf your damage a lot. Not turning it off will deplete your focus and exclude spcials from happening -also depleting your damage.

The exotic pets *will* be great at 72 when you can sustain their focus - but not until then.

But the talent that gives the exotic pets also gives four additional pet talent points that are worth their weight in gold (a thing many seem to forget), with or without Go for the Throat.
