WoW TCG Champion announced in Paris

The WoW TCG site has lots more, including play-by-plays of all the matches if you're interested in how the top players play the game (Jim won with a Shaman -- SHAMAN POWER!), and they've even got video of all the folks throwing down to win the crazy prizes. Looks like lots of fun in Paris for players of the TCG.
The 2009 season kicks off with the end of these world champs -- the next event will be a Darkmoon Faire event in Anaheim, CA on November 9th (right before the Wrath release), and of course the Drums of War expansion is due out soon, with those loot cards we've been drooling over.

You know, that poor guy is at home happy that he won the contest and got a mention on WI, and then he has to come here and read about how he hasn't had sex by a bunch of people who spend (by the same standard of assumption) most of their time playing a game considered nerdy by others and probably haven't been laid.

Even worse is that this guy went to Paris for a nice trip, won $30k, easily paid for the trip and probably now has even more trips planned. All the while a bunch of WoW players, many of which probably have never even left the country in their lives are bashing him.
Grats to the guy who won. Sure wish I could win $30k for flying to Paris to play a card game. I bet he had an awesome time doing it too!
