Disc currently eats faces in BT - Pain Suppression on Bloodboil and Illidan is invaluable.

I really have to ask that you elaborate on this eats face comment?
My experience via tracking damage absorbed of a disc priest and the healing output of a holy priest is that disc priests are completely useless except for the occasional gimmick (Bloodboil's Fel enrage, Illidans soft enrage).
As holy I was doing 4x the output of a disc priest (ALL absorption mechanics included) in black temple. Just because a class can be helpful every once and a while does not make them good.
However maybe you can elaborate on your experience and explain how disc was viable for you.

It's not about throughput, it's about keeping people alive when they have to be. Pain Suppression, yes, works mostly on gimmicky fights, but it makes the margin of error on those fights vastly wider.
Our healers don't strain to keep the tanks up during normal phases; our healing throughput is much more than enough. It's when stuff like Agonizing Flames and Fel Rage comes up that we have trouble, and that's due to the difficulty of getting heals off quickly, not a lack of total healing throughput.
In other words, it's not about *how much* with a Disc Priest, but about *when*. I have no doubt your healing throughput utterly dominated Disc Priests, even counting absorption, but healing throughput is not the limiting factor when we (and your guild may be different) have healing trouble in BT.
I would never bring more than one Disc Priest to a 25-man on purpose; their use is specialized. But when they're useful, they're very, very useful.

Why not get GS then?
*It increases healing done by 40% (from all sources).
*It lasts 2 seconds longer than PS and has the same cooldown.
*It actually prevents instant gibs (heals the target for 50% of their health. On a BB fel enrage target that is a 20k heal)
*And you get the benefit of holy output.

@amasen Wow, you can press your COH button with one hand and pat yourself on the back with the other. Good Job. Go ahead, take GS and drop Meditation knucklehead.

Pain Suppression is lame even for Bloodboil. Just heal the fel rage target, it happens more often than the PS cooldown so you'll have to do it eventually anyhow.
