I've been having so much fun playing Disc so far. Throwing around shields, using a surprising number of Flash Heals and a surprising lack of Greater heals, and having a heal that starts healing AS SOON as you hit it, and critting PoM's proccing Divine Aegis on everyone for just that little bit of extra damage reduction. The thing I hated most about (the process of) healing was the scary wait on Greater Heals where I hoped the tank would go just that extra half a second without getting hit. Now, although doing slightly less total healing, Penance gives a tick of healing immediately, then two more over the three second duration. Each tick can crit, each returns mana with Rapture, each gives a stack of Grace which sets the full three stacks at once.I guess after playing so long as Holy with just GH spam, or CoH spam, with a PoM every now and then an interesting change is welcome.I did both ZA and a BT PuG today and in both I did pretty well; granted, my idea of doing well means that I didn't let anyone die if I could help it, did my part in the healing, and had fun. I'm not really the sort of person who feels inadequate if I'm not at the very top of the healing meters.

Yes, now that Flash Heal is more efficient than before the patch, I'm finding that its usefulness makes it now a staple of my healing repertoire. It now occupies my left-click slot in Healbot (where my downranked Greater Heal used to be) and with the flash heal glyph, it is far more useful and helps greatly to save a wipe, especially when you don't have a pally spamming Flash of Light. Overall, since the patch, I've been very pleased with our new capabilities... New boosts to Circle of Healing, and Holy nova are making the game more interesting... Personally I'm liking the 14/47/0 CoH build. I do like how the disc spec is now raid viable. While I may experiment with it when I ding 80, I personally still favor Holy for now. Regardless, the new Disc viability is great for when those Pvp priests get pugged into your 25 man raid in their arena gear because there's a shortage of healers.

Andelorn - was gonna say something exactly like that. I can now react extremely quickly to many different situations - between PW:S (with a hasted heal tossed afterwards and the glyph), Penance, and Pain Suppression I have tools to deal with a huge spike of damage *right now*, not 2.5 seconds (an "eternity") from now. Disc priests may never out-heal the CoH priests - *even* when factoring in absorption - but they may very well be instrumental in smoothing things out and dealing with large spikes.(Still wish Grace applied to all heals, and not just the caster's.)
