Bornakk
posted some excerpts from what appear to be an old diary in the dead town of Andorhal. The diary details the struggles of one Eric Farrington, who explains the horrors of seeing loved ones transformed into gruesome tools of the Scourge only to be eventually transformed himself... and hunger for brains. Bornakk also appended a short Q&A that should answer some of the questions players might have about the new Scourge invasion. Of course, most of those same questions have already been covered by
Mike in his live... er,
undeadblog.
Bornakk didn't mention that zombies also have their own language, and when players speak while transformed, their speech will be unintelligible to normal players. While the Q&A addresses how to avoid getting infected and finding a cure, players who might want to experience becoming part of the Scourge are encouraged to
read up on the unique zombie abilities...

Oh god, I knew it.
Valve bought out actiblizzard and are slowly turning WoW into Left 4 Dead.
We're doomed.

"As a zombie, you are part of a special faction that is friendly with all zombies and can converse with them, regardless of whether they were part of the Horde or Alliance in their mortal existences. "
I was worried this was a bug, but an allowed way to talk to the opposite faction is very interesting indeed. When I first zombiefied, an orc was there also as a zombie. The second I "turned" he ran up to me and said "CAN YOU UNDERSTAND ME???"
Awesomeness. The crossroads trembled beneath our shuffling feet.

Cross faction does indeed work.
IMBANESS.

Gah! Two hours and I can get home and get myself zombified!!!
Cow Oct 22nd 2008 10:09PM
You can also use horde portals in shatt, too!!
Cow Oct 22nd 2008 10:09PM
As alliance, that is!

I just figured out the secret to infecting a city without crossing the gates! Have a mage in your group open a portal just before you turn into a zombie..you are still able to go through the port after the change..then BOOM infect the portal room.
Ironforge portal room on Stormreaver is about to become zombiefied...muhahahah..
I think I will take Exodar next cause it is easy.

You know what the worst part about this zombie crap is that blizzard found the time to put this new content out but neglected to fix the bulls%*! that still continues across all the realms.
Im trying really hard to figure out why I pay out all this money each month to play a broken game. If blizzard cannot put out a new patch that works then dont put it out. I believe in the old motto its not about quanity its about quality. Getting this patch as quick as possible for the up coming patch doesn't make any sense if it keeps crashing people's realms all over the place.
I am seriously considering leaving and going to Warhammer if they dont fix their problems by the release of WotLK. I have been a fan of Blizzard for a long time now, it would be shame for me to give up on them because they got lazy.

oh goodness me, you would rather they fix bugs then implement something fun and unique? dude, this is a game, learn to have some fun once and awhile.
also, you know the development team do not all work on the same stuff? some would be doing world events, another group doing quests etc etc.

I knew this blog wouldn't be the most popular one but I put out for all the people who are just as fustrated withe me with this broken game. Oh and I do have fun in this game when it works. Why would anyone want to go and buy a car that starts up only 70% of the time and breaks down 50% of the time. I think that most people would be pissed and want their money back on that purchase. Every other game that blizzard put out before this one has run pretty seemless but now that they have made it to the top of the pile they continue to get more lazy.
aeshai Oct 22nd 2008 11:26PM
I havent had any problems with the game. i dont really understand what is supposed to be broken. the talents might be a bit iffy, but they are tuned for level 80.

Who has time for bug fixing THERE ARE ZOMBIES!!!!
G Oct 23rd 2008 5:25AM
My realm was perfectly fine today. No more lag, no crashes, instances were up, zombie fun everywhere. If you had problems before and still do now, maybe you're blaming the wrong side of that connection?
adorenko Oct 23rd 2008 5:45PM
Yeah I don't think the problem is on my side, I just got a new setup. Most of what I said last night was out of frustration I now that every WoW player out there has had a day where they wanted to leave the game all together and last night was just one of those nights for me. However the realm that has been giving me trouble since the inception of 3.0.2 (Mal Ganis) was having trouble and lower populated realm that I also play on (Auchindon), which never gives me any problems started giving me problems as well. I just think that blizzard needs to slow down a bit and take their time to put out a quality product as they always have done in the past.

There is a zombie raid going on right now! Scarlet Crusade server. Go join the legion of brain enthusiasts!
Isoliat Oct 23rd 2008 11:46PM
Glad to see something I started got put on the internet somewhere.
Bemaha Oct 24th 2008 12:32AM
Isoliat - Hah! Hey, it's Osprey. Yeah, you did a good thing. Darkshire was askin' for it.
robert oxford Oct 22nd 2008 10:33PM
this zombie thing sux you cant even play the game without someone turning you
aeshai Oct 22nd 2008 10:46PM
robert - this is part of the game! have some fun and enjoy it! this doesnt happen every day.
PeeWee Oct 23rd 2008 1:06PM
Completely agree.
If I had wanted to PVP, I would have rolled on a PVP server. It's awesome fun to try and level when you get one-shotted by lvl 70 zombies, and have your quest-NPC's killed... N O T
