Around Azeroth: Super-size me

After finally acquiring his helm and pet from the Headless Horseman, Terry's guildmate posed for a king-sized picture in front of the Stormwind Bank. I don't know what combination of potions and effects he had to take to get that big, but he's apparently not big enough to disrupt the flow of people checking their mail.
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards.

Isnt he just on top of the Stormwind fountain?
Callidon Oct 23rd 2008 10:08AM
Errr........
Notice how his leg is INFRONT of the top of the statue fountain, and the fact that he is plainly doing the animation for sitting on a broom?
Plus the fact that the squashling pet wouldn't grow and is also infront of the statue?
IMO too skinny to be human or Nelf, possibly an undead model?
And surely there would be a big crowd looking?
can any else say photoshop............
Ghermor Oct 23rd 2008 12:37PM
No photo shop here and this IS in fact a Nelf warrior, on top of the fountain... you guys are always quick to cry photoshop. Camera angle my friends!
Todd Oct 23rd 2008 10:09AM
Could be on top of the fountain. I'm sure that's a camera/angle perspective trick.
Mr. Jingles Oct 23rd 2008 10:13AM
Thats defintely an undead model. You can see the torn sleeves. Pretty lame.
Blackhorn Oct 23rd 2008 4:53PM
Yeah.. because undead look like Night Elves and typically have long, slender ears sticking out of their Horseman Helm.
Callidon Oct 23rd 2008 10:14AM
Nope, not ontop, got the image blown up and tried to get that pic myself. If you look cloesy you can see teh bits of teh broom they didnt photoshop out, not to mention the fact that the green glow behind is off the back of the broom..........
People need to try harder, they really do
Ghermor Oct 23rd 2008 12:35PM
Your so wrong here, NO photoshop was used its an angle trick. The green glow is in fact from his Quel'Serrar sword on his side. And he is in fact a Night Elf Warrior from Drenden. You have to LOOK harder my friend.
Amaxe Oct 23rd 2008 10:15AM
Yeah, just a perspective trick with the fountain sort of badly photoshopped out
Arcaria Oct 23rd 2008 10:23AM
He's obviously a tauren.
oh wait...that's just his broom.
Ekimus Oct 23rd 2008 10:24AM
Not an undead model, it's got night elf ears. And yes, it's a photoshop job.
Ghermor Oct 23rd 2008 12:56PM
No photoshop, Camera angle. I took the photo myself I would know. Why is it that anything that can not be explained they all cry photoshop... sorry Im too busy reading WowInsider and playing the game to be busy chopping photos up in PS.
KJS Oct 23rd 2008 10:27AM
Nice job WoW insider....FAIL
Arcaria Oct 23rd 2008 10:37AM
@ everyone saying it's photoshop. It's not shopped. It's just perspective. He's flying on his broom and closer than everything else. Had the author not mentioned that he thinks he's standing on the ground, you would see that right away.
This picture is just a NE on a broom.
BillDoor Oct 23rd 2008 10:39AM
Because flying is possible in Stormwind?
rosencratz Oct 23rd 2008 10:45AM
You don't have to fly to get on the fountain or be on a broom in stormwind... not all brooms fly.... in fact i think all brooms CAN be used in stormwind.
Callidon Oct 23rd 2008 10:30AM
Ah yes my bad, hadn't spotted the ears DOH!!
Nijle Oct 23rd 2008 10:30AM
I think wow insider just got punked by a crappy photoshop job.
Nice!
Novead Oct 23rd 2008 10:32AM
Photoshop? Doubt it. He's just standing on top of the statue with a hallows end candy buff.
Amaxe Oct 23rd 2008 12:05PM
Yes, but you can see the statue is sort of blurred out to try to give him the large effect.
He is on his broom, on the statue, with the growth effect from the candy. He tried to blur out the statue to make it look like he was gigantic and standing on the steps of the SW bank when it is an effect of the perspective.
