After getting drive-by cleansed too many times, I got myself infected and ported immediately to Moonglade where nary a Priest or Paladin would try to save me from my inevitable fate. Ten minutes later I transformed into the walking dead and proceeded to take half of Moonglade with me. And I didn't feel a twinge of regret. Because you see, it wasn't my fault, I was a Zombie.
I think we can take this one step further.
"Who took all the Hearts of Darkness out of the guild bank?"
"It wasn't my fault, I was a Zombie."
"Did you ninja looted Thoridal, The Star's Fury??!!oneone11!?"
"It wasn't my fault, I was a Zombie."
"Who ate the last of the brains and didn't leave any for the Guildmaster's girlfriend who nobody likes but we all tolerate because the GM is making killer progress for the guild through all the raid content despite the fact that the latest patch put the whole game on easy mode?"

WoW Insider FAILS. 6 stories about zombies? 6 stories about the dumbest world event I have ever heard of? Why would I (an Undead) want to kill Horde? And, when I got to work today, I got my coffee, and was looking forward to an insightful story about discipline priests, or maybe even new trade skill patterns, but no. Zombies. It's kinda like waiting for a game to completely trump wow. I need a new blog to read.

Would you rather another six articles about Hunters (aside: pet tank Gruul = AWESOME! :D) and how bad they got nerfed in the latest patch? :D
Although I plan on killing each and every zombie I see, this is a cool world event with lots of RP tie-ins. I'm slightly confused why they're running concurrent world events. Hallow's End is enough to do already with being plagued by zombies. Then again, I guess we all know what we're gonna be for Halloween.

Bet then again I secretly wish for a REAL zombie outbreak, in which I would probably live in a little shack in the woods, while everything breaks down.

Why are people who fight the zombies back getting voted down?
Priests, Pallies and Shaman fighting things back is totally within in the spirt of things. Don't whine! Embrace it! Get infected, hide, turn, mob up, zerg in, traget healers first, convert them, grow stronger, move on.

Zombie behaviour is based off player behaviour and their ability to find the worse possible place to grief others.
Sorry, just had so many players griefing me last night that any fun I could have had went out the window. :(

Which is why I consider events like these annoying. I'm still trying for the squashling and if every single innkeeper in the game is being eaten as soon as they spawn, how am I supposed to do that?

I agree with this. I'm getting sick of being ganked by higher levels my own side. If I wanted to be under constant threat of ganking, I would have rolled on a PVP server.

Add me to the I hate this group. I was out trying to finish getting all the candy buckets for the free XP and got ganked by a hordie. I couldn't figure out how the heck I got flagged. (Didn't know what was going on yet) and was just plain ticked off. I mean sure have a world event but can't you provide something for those of us that don't want to participate? I was half afraid to check my mail this morning because of it. I know its a way to advertise WOTLK but it's making me not want to play at all.

Griefing in the most annoying places? Dont blame the zombies for that, How about the blood elf rogue ganking the orphan matron in goldshire, who it would appear is not flagged PvP and vanishing, and doing it constantly?
In fact, the zombies were the only way we could stop him, hunters put up flares, the zombies zerged in.

It is no more YOUR exclusive event than it is the guy who is cleansing.
Its part of the freaking event.
