Breakfast Topic: The elusive achievements of Hallow's End

I have to admit. Achievements were a pretty bright idea. Holiday achievements, even more so. Now I have something to keep me focused through the holiday seasons, keep my eyes on the prize so to speak. For example, with Hallow's End fully underway, I've been racking up the achievements on my Hunter, looking to get that title. It's a nice goal to strive for.
It's a good thing that the A Mask for All Occasions requirement will be off Hallowed Be Thy Name in 3.0.3, or I'd be in trouble. Collecting one of each different mask? Please. Actually, I haven't even managed to collect one single mask, leaving The Mask Task woefully undone. I'm not sure what it is, but even doing 3-5 Trick or Treats a day, I have not managed to get one of those flimsy things on my Hunter. In past Hallow's Ends, I seemed to be destroying masks constantly, saying not nice things under my breath. This year, I pray for one, and instead have to deal with Penny Pouches and Candy Corn and costumes and no sign of a Mask.
The random number generator just hasn't been kind to me. As it is, I was afraid that the toothpicks would do me in. I didn't even get a set of Tooth Picks on my Hunter until yesterday.
The other item I need to finish out my Hallowed Title is the Hallowed Helm, which comes both from the Headless Horseman and Trick or Treating. I've seen it drop from the Horseman a few times, but I've always lost the rolls. But it's a rare drop, a low drop rate and a bit of luck should be expected to be needed for this stuff. But here's the funny thing: I have actually found Hallowed Helms while Trick or Treating. The problem is, I got them on 2 of my alts, my Paladin and my Warlock. Not exactly useful for my Hunter. But I keep trick or treating, praying my Hallowed Helm luck will strike one more time, and in the meantime admire how badass my Warlock looks with a pumpkin head.
How goes your achievement hunt? Do you have one or two Hallow's End Achievements that just keep eluding you? For that matter, how's your luck on the Headless Horseman? I know that despite having done a run a day on him, I have yet to see a sword, a horse, or a flying broom, so I'm interested to find if anyone is seeing those in abundance.

Just waiting for the stupid toothpick. and 17 masks.
Blizz shouldnt get rid of the mask task, but make the masks tradeable.

Making the masks tradeable wouldn't help, since not all of them are in game. The blood elf and dranei masks are not added to the game, which makes the acievement impossible to finish.

I was able to get all the achievements within the first two days. I got extremely lucky that both the pet and the helm dropped for me. Now I am just waiting for the new patch and I will have my title.

So far I'm up to only 2 costumed wands, roughly 5 random. 9 penny pouches, 2 toothpicks, 1 hollowed helm. That leaves me with the infamous pet. (Also at about 6 or 7 masks, 5 different ones).

I have my title achievements done now. Got the squashling from the inn keeper, so I spend my time now trying to get friends the mount.

i don't know if it has anything to do with the zombies or not, but the champions hall doors have closed on my server (EU Ahn'Qiraj), u cant get in at all, just thought i'd give u a little heads up to see if u find anythign else out about it

Actually, they're still open. What has changed is that it's not instanced anymore. Also, some of the NPCs have been moved around.

A zombie shut your doors.
Zombies can interact with the doors as if they were NPCs, so can open/shut at will.

I only saw the toothpicks last night, finally. Done about 5-8 trick or treat each day on my druid. Only one mask in that time also, so the removal of A Mask for All Occasions makes me breathe a bit easier.
I have seen the horse off Headless Horseman (but lost the roll to a firsttimer ret pala), as well as the sword and the helm, and lots of brooms ... The horse is my biggest goal right now, I mean, it can fly!

i have been getting loads and loads of toothpicks, i must have about 5 stacks now.
got everything else apart from 13 masks though which i am happy about

The only one I have left for the achievement is gnerd rage--I did all the candy baskets the first day, when the duration on the gnerds was still just 24 hours, instead of 14 days, so I don't have the candy to do it anymore.

Saving one of the lowbie towns from the Headless Horseman usually results in a 'Handful of Candy' reward, with one or two G.N.E.R.D.S each time.
Also, if you want to rack up plenty of Honor kills without dying (and losing the buff), I suggest going to Eye of the Storm or Alterac Valley; just stick to the swarm and 'tag' every enemy so that you get shared credit for the kill.
Or be awesome, and kill the entire opposing side repeatedly without dying. I dunno.

I still need the Hallowed Helm, and I need to clean up a stinkbomb. That's it.
I'm doing the achievements on my rogue alt, lv 63 atm, so i can't farm horseman for the helm sadly.
I've seen the horse once and the pet two times on my main when helping out guildies though.

I finally got the helm off the HH last night, so i have everything for the title, but i agree that you should be able to trade the masks. I have about half of them so far as well as a few doubles.
Before i had all the wand achievements i couldn't get any wands to drop so i could trade, now that i have it, all i get now are wands lol
Also, i have received a few squashlings on my main from ToT and my alt keeps getting the helm from ToT. I think the RNG is stuck or something. I've seen 1 sword drop from the HH and have yet to see the horse.

I've had some decent luck overall with my toons. Sadly, I've had 3 toon recieve 3 sinister squashlings in trick or treating... and another has 3 hallowed helms. I've seen the sword drop once and even won that roll, seen the magic broon drop 3-4 times, and a butt ton of rings which no one in any of our groups now need, but have not seen the mount or the helm drop since start of event, despite a run a day, with 3-5 summons were day in our groups. makes me sad :-(
