Argent Knight: My new best friend needs to level
- HP - 2442
- Mana – 2434
- Damage: About 100 melee and about 150 crusader strike on a level 60 mob.
- Heal: Heals a person for around 700, often times casting when the person is at 25% or lower health.
- Blessing of Protection: Target becomes immune to damage. Unknown when he casts this.
- Crusader Strike: A powerful attack that increases holy damage done to the target.
You can get this guy by spending 40 Necrotic Runes at the Argent Dawn Quartermaster in Light's Hope Chapel in Eastern Plague Lands. In order to access the Quartermaster you first have to finish the two scourge killing quests, which we've already covered.
Once you have the trinket, equip it, active it someplace and enjoy. You'll notice him appear off in the distance and run towards you into battle (see the video above). He is your personal knight in shining armor after all, and he has to make a stunning entrance. He'll fight at your side, heal you and your allies, and even BoP folks if necessary.
And then just like a true Paladin, the bastard bubble hearths when he's had enough.

Finally, my own pocket paladin to make my Smites more potent.
... isn't that what everyone got the trinket for?

It's also a important touch that the Horde summon a female blood elf paladin. I'd like to know what the other rewards do... like the banner and tome.
Spoonman Oct 26th 2008 4:54PM
Tome - A book appears infront of you and casts a Holy Nova
Banner - An Argent Dawn Banner drops and casts a Concentrate
Both don't tick for much, and don't scale with spell power

It's a blood elf but it's not always female. I used mine the other day and it summoned a male BE pally with hair exactly matching my own toon's. XD

Mine actually attacked some alliance standing around in LHC. BAD PALLY, BAD!
RetPallyJil Oct 26th 2008 5:01PM
I got him last night; had no idea what to expect. Awesome! AWESOME!
Hahaha and when he hearthed out instead of the standard fade, I nearly pulled a muscle laughing in joyful glee.

This sounds like a fun event! No two ways about it. Unfortunately many of us couldn't see it because of lag issues. But that is simply life. If you were in the boondocks with dialup you were SOL as I was but thanks to WoWinsider for giving us a sense of what is going on. Broadband ... someday. QQing /off.

Can't take a joke, huh?

One time I summoned my knight in org, but on the way to me he ended up getting infected, so when he tried to bubble hearth, his bubble just turned him into a ghoul like a player. I then had friendly ghoul carrying ashkandi following me around for the next 10 sec.

Spoonman Oct 26th 2008 6:47PM
