"Slacking"? "No excuse" for not being 70? Dude... it's a *game*, not a job, a race, or a responsibility. Some people like to enjoy the journey, not speed to the end. Some people don't play every day, and/or don't feel like playing for 12-20 hours at a time. Some people, myself included, have jobs, hobbies, and attempts at a social life, and therefore can't or don't want to do nothing but play WoW. Calling people slackers for not devoting their lives to something that's supposed to be fun, not an obligation, really makes you come off as elitist and obsessed with the game. I'm not saying you are, just that that's the impression you're making.
Now, I don't mind when I'm not high-level enough to participate in every part of the annual events. I figure they'll be back next year, and I'll have more powerful characters then. But when it's a one-time event, something that won't ever happen again, and I can't see most of it because it's all designed for level 70s? That upsets me a little.
