Breakfast Topic: Idiosyncrasies

I know what you're thinking. I was a troll passing over a bow. Well, I didn't care for (what was then) +5 weapon skill. I liked guns. Even now that Bow Specialization grants 1% crit, I still prefer guns. That was just the way I want to play and I'd usually pass on all ranged weapon loot unless it's a firearm. This Troll Hunter of mine also has white hair and as a rule, only tames white pets. My stable includes the white bat Ressan the Needler, the white cat Sian-Rotam, and the white spider Leech Widow. The day Blizzard makes Aluntir, the white Silithid wasp, a tameable exotic pet is the day I spec Beast Mastery.
I like min/maxing as much as the next guy, really. But there are just certain idiosyncrasies with the way I play, such as my Shaman who pursued Goblin Engineering for the Pet Bombling. He's all about Engineering, so when Wrath comes he's likely to be on his motorcycle when on land and on his flying machine when in the Outlands or Northrend. Oh, he's got white hair, too, just like my Hunter and Paladin. It's just one of those things. I'm sure you also have little quirks on your characters or the way you play. What are your WoW idiosyncrasies?

My orc shaman in the full ZA set including amani warbear hates trolls and relishes every opportunity he gets to kill them. I have even ran total strangers through ZF telling them that I couldn't pass on a chance to kill trolls.

Each of my characters (my 70s, at least) have their own idiosyncrasies.
My warrior tries to pursue mastery in all weaponry, and thus has 350/350 skill in all melee weapons(including Staves), 350/350 thrown, 349/350 guns, 348/350 xbows, and 342/350 bows. Also, she tries to collect the best available weapon of each type. But for most of her work, she prefers swords.
My shadow priest won't take any secondary professions. Who needs bandages when you can use magic to leech life off of your enemies, fishing is just plain boring to her, and what self-respecting world-class heroine cooks her own food?
When my blood elf hunter got to level 10 and finished the quest to get a pet, she went out into Eversong Woods and trained a level 5 red Springpaw Lynx, naming it Bruce (Campbell). 60 levels for her and 65 levels for Bruce later, he's still the only pet for her. Oh, and though she has a spare gun and xbow, she prefers bows.
Personal idiosyncracy: I'm a guy, but the all the characters I play often enough to consider my mains are females. Not (mostly) because of their attractiveness, but because I guess I have an affinity for empowered women (also because if I were a less honest person, people would give me free stuff).

On my lock I never use another land mount besides my Dreadsteed. Once in a while I used to use the black saber pvp mount, but I got tired of 'hiding' so now I don't use that. Why not use the coolest looking land mount in the game? Plus, it's a badge of honor since I had to run the quest to get it, and it took FOREVER to get this thing. Be proud and loud, use the fiery steed!
I have a Siamese cat that I keep out almost all the time, reminds me of my first pet as a child. I know it's silly, but just one of those things.
Also, my lock doesn't like for his helm to be seen, most of the hoods look silly, and I'd rather people see his face as he's melting theirs off :-)

Hey this is my thread...
my main is a female dwarven hunter (Urdla). Everything about her is totally Engineering. Got the black Robostrider (who cares for Rams and rare Mounts), got Lil Smokey, of course the epic Gyrocopter and my Pets are chosen because of fitting looks...so they could be seen as engineered. My black armoured boar from Razorfen is named "Prototype" and Blacksting-Wasp is named "Gyrodrone"...cause Urdla didn't tame them...she constructed them. And Urdla only uses Melee-Weapons that fit the Mechanic-Style. At the moment she wears those green fistweapons you can buy at Netherstorm from the Vendor on the peak...yes I know I'm a lvl70 with green weapons...but they are looking great on a female dwarf...Robolicious!
(Sorry for bad spelling and grammar...english is just a school-language for me)

My Druid loves his hair. He will not wear (or at least I won't let show) helms that cover it. He will not get the Shave and Haircut achievement. He will not go into Old Hillsbrad because it turns him into a bald guy. (The first and only time he was in there, he would randomly break down and /cry.) If I were to fully RP him, he would be more vain than most Blood Elves.
My Dwarf Hunter is much the same way with his beard.
The very first /silly my Draenei Shammy ever emoted was the "family jewels" one. And he emoted it to another guy (a sailor, no less). Ever since then I decided that he's gay and a shameless, dirty flirt. Think Quagmire, but a little more suave.
My Draenei Priest is completely white--skin and hair. He believed he was blessed by the light and his calling was to be the greatest, holiest healer ever. The first time he flipped shadow form he fell in love with the power. He loves and craves it, but feels guilty for doing so.

For the longest time, i refused to use guns on my hunter... She's a blood elf, and using guns just didnt seem very elven to me. I didnt even train guns until i consistently failed to see Sunfury drop from prince, pretty much forever, then i had to give up so i could rock my wolfslayer. Ah well.
