Many other classes complain about being "huntards" unless they prove themselves over and over again... at least you got a chance and if you screwed up then that's your fault, ret pallies never even got the chance my guild master who is a good friend of mine in real life would not even take me on a kara run to gear up before the patch. take that into account. and to wargo i will accept that they are adjusting classes I've been playing since open beta Wow i know that all classes have there ups and downs but the only up ret pallies have ever have are now and in beta. both times ret pallies were massively OP and since then they were all ways laughed at no matter if you were up in the DPS charts which you never were. Ret Pallies are just pissed because we finally have been given a chance to show something even though it's not skill but that's the thing finally for once we were a force to be reckoning with not a joke... come on dude give us something... if you said you were a ret pally you were looked down past gnomes and boomkins.

Just because you were a sad spec beforehand, and masochistically stuck with it despite it being the most afk boring autoattack and watch gamestyle in the entire game (even moreso than enhancement shamen)... well that doesnt give you any entitlement to being the New Warlocks now that you have three buttons to push and a hell of a lot bigger critical hit numbers.
Just hope that they don't bring it down and leave it there if the new mechanics put things at an unpleasantly low level.
Like the article writer says, be angry that you got the Cheatmode due to their RELUCTANCE to balance the class in the closed beta, and stop confusing the rush of OP with a good thing. Heroin addicts make the same mistake.

I'm sorry, when you have two other specs available for raiding and you chose not to use either the tank or heal spec that would have benefitted the raid and made use of the class you play, that's not on the game designers. Only one rogue class was getting raid invites, and even then reluctantly. How many pure arcane mages did you see in BT? How about Demonology specced warlocks?
All the classes have trees that didn't suit certain aspects of the game, and as a paladin you had the choice to be the SINGLE BEST pre-3.02 tank class if you wanted to be a raider. You don't get to complain about not going if you're not willing to do your part to help the raid out.
I get it, you choose a class, you level from 1-70 with a spec designed to balance keeping you alive and making other things dead, it's jarring to suddenly need to respec to something with only one purpose to help out a raid. It's understandable, it's common...but it wasn't a paladin specific problem.
It could have been worse, healing priests can't solo anything in order that they could have the gear and spec needed to keep the raid alive. Tankadins could still do dailies without respeccing before and after every raid.
