Breakfast Topic: Last minute tasks for Hallow's End

The Hallow's End event is set to end in a couple of days. During its first years, the event was merely a way to get some moderately useful candy. Last year, the introduction of the Headless Horseman gave away some pretty sweet loot, giving everybody reason to visit the least popular wing of the Scarlet Monastery. Actually, before the Headless Horseman arrived on the scene, quite a lot of players had never even gone into that part of the instance!So anyway, this year Hallowed's End came along with the introduction of Achievements, and a lot of players have gone after the Meta-Achievement Hallowed Be Thy Name. Some people want it for the title, others merely as a component of the Meta-Meta-Achievement that grants a Violet Proto-Drake flying mount. My wife already has the Hallowed title in the bag for her Warlock, and the Squashling was pet number 45 towards getting herself a skunk. I just used the trick or treating to level up my Hunter -- at over 4,350 xp per bucket and the reduced XP requirement, I actually got lots of bubbles in.
How about you? Have you been enjoying Hallow's End? The zombie invasion caused a bit of havoc for some people, and I'm sure it led to more than a few aborted Horseman visits, but now that its over, we can all go back to enjoying the Seasonal event in relative peace. What last minute tasks have you yet to accomplish? I know a lot of folks still need those elusive Tooth Picks, while others got really lucky with their treat bags and got the pet and helm. Daniel asked this a few days back, so I'm gonna see how everyone's done so far. With only a couple of days to go, I hope everyone's gotten what they want or need!

I won the squashling off the HH, then hearthed, trick or treated and got the squashling again O.o. But once they remove the mask one ill get the title. Still want that mount thou >_

I managed to finish my Hallow's End title! Now all I need to do is wait it out till Blizz removes the mask achievement, but one thing I find odd is after I got that tricky little squashling, every other run I had dropped it almost constantly. Also Ding 70 off of trick or treating!

I've got the helm, sword, mount, pet and other helm O_o
I've done every achievement except the obvious, and am currently QQing at Blizz for not giving us 3.0.3.

I had the same thing happen. Once I got the pet and helm they seemed to drop 1 to 3 times a Headless Horseman run. Did Blizz up the drop rate? Unfortunately theres still no sign of the mount...

That's funny; I got a Squashling for trick-or-treating, and the next time I did the Horseman daily, our group of five got two Squashlings.

I got the helm on HHM and then the squashling and helm dropped again from the crudely wrapped present in GS. Since then, the helm and squashling has dropped 2 more times for me. Only thing i need is... 14 more masks

lol, I used the the trick-or-treating, uh, trick, to push me over the ding-level twice when I was 20k or so away from leveling to 66 and 67 on my alt.
However I could never get the "Out With It" achievement to work no matter how many sticky treats (or whatever theyre called) I ate. Then I tried it in real-life with mini Snickers just to see if it was something I was doing wrong and, unfortunately, it worked just fine.

i have about 10 stacks of toothpicks.
i can't seem to stop getting the buggers.
i thought the Hallows-End was well done this year and even though the zombies made it a bit of a trick on occasion is was another very well done event and i really enjoyed it.

Yeah, Ive been ToTing on about 8 chars, I think 6 of them have the toothpicks already and most of those have gotten more than one stack. My main has gotten 4 stacks to drop. Finally got my pet last night on a HH run. On the next run after that, the pet, reins, sword, and helm dropped all in one kill.

All I ever get is toothpicks. I've got (and I'm not exaggerating here) 8 stacks of it. Every 2nd time I go trick-or-treating, I get it. It's really quite annoying.

well i only hit 70 last night so i did my first HH run:) picked up every epic drop as everyone auto passed on them although they were all useseless for me (2 spell rings, and a sword), the pet dropped for the group but got ninjad by someone:( (although it has dropped on 3 of my alts in trick or treats, along with the pumpkin head twice [just no luck with my main]) :(
i seem to have similar loot in particular chars, e.g. 2/3 alts have 40+ tooth picks, with the rest 0, one alt has atleast 20 wands, while the rest have 3 or 4, so i think the achievement is out the window for me but nonetheless ive found it a fun event collecting all the different loots:)

5 attempts at the horseman last night with 3 of us needing the squashling and it dropped twice! Unfortunately the same guy needed it both times and won both!
On the plus side, I trick or treated at about about midnight and got it from my treat bag. Now all I need are those darn toothpicks!

I have -really- enjoyed Hallowed Ens. It had something for every one of my toons, from my lvl 70's and down. The XP for trick or treating candy buckets was nice, the loots good, and I managed to get squashling and helm on most of my toons.

All I need is the stupid helm, and the only thing the HH has dropped in the last 3 days (at least 5 times/day) is the stupid AP ring.

Yeah, I feel ya. Between my wife and I, we've seen the helm drop twice and the pet three times out of probably fifty downs of the HH (and naturally our dice fail us). And even though I hit up the inns every hour, all I get from my treat bags are lollypops and random wands. Oh well. There's still time left. Maybe today's the day! :D
Random drops are frustrating but part of the game. What I don't like is that you can't use the wands on yourself and that random wands don't count towards the achievement. Who thought of that?

Yeah, the tricks aren't that much fun, especially if you get them six times in a row. Last night, the Hallowed Helm finally dropped for me from ToTing, and I'm waiting on the squashling now. I admit, I've only gone to meet the HH for the second time yesterday and will have to do it every day now, but my hopes on a treat bag giving me the last bit for the achievement. :)
On the other hand, when I'm not being tricked by innkeepers, I seem to be getting the same wands over and over again. I've got more skeleton wands than I can find people to transform with them...

all want now is the helm, mostly for the cool factor. I already have the mount and the sword, so my HH costume is almost finished :P

I'm just too unlucky. Missing only the Hallowed Helm from the achievement now. I've seen it drop 9 times, and I lost the roll 9 times too. Also, no Hallowed Helm from the treat bags I received. I'm just a sad panda now :-(
