The Bro Squad 3-mans Karazhan

Metosai, a partially Sunwell geared Protection Warrior, recently ran Karazhan with a mix of experienced characters and some lesser geared ones. About a third of the raid was in greens, he said. They cleared the place in under an hour. Metosai was surprised at just how easy it was, and decided to see if they could do it with just three.
He looked for a couple of people from his guild to help him, and they took to Karazhan with a team of a Protection Warrior (Metosai), a Retribution Paladin (Dok), and a Holy Paladin (Dantez). The first half of the instance was easy, they say, but the second half got a little more dicey. Netherspite was cited as the most difficult to figure out how to do with three people (it took 5-6 tries), but they managed it and supplied video.
Metosai also mentioned that the Shade of Aran turned out to be one of the harder encounters as well, due to how fast paced it was for just the three of them. There's video for that, too.
Prince Malchezaar would have been a 1-shot, but Dok ended up killing himself with Seal of the Martyr during Enfeeble. I know how that goes. Why oh why does Enfeeble have to go up right after I push Shadow Word: Death? Stupid timers, why aren't you more interesting to watch?
Metosai didn't think this was particularly newsworthy in a post-patch 3.0.2 world considering the raid nerfs and player buffs, but it's pretty neat and they had fun, and that's what really counts, eh?

Open your mouth. Insert your foot.

he has a point though.
Taking 2 pallies is the same as taking 4-6 extra peeps. ;)

You take the class that is more likely to survive. By that logic, you could "nerf" warriors because apparently the warrior was so uber they only needed ONE!
Stephen Oct 30th 2008 12:41PM
@ D.O.T.
Nope, that means they just needed 2 1/2 pallies.

@ Stephen
I'd wonder if you'd say the same thing if it was ZA instead of a undead zone like Kara. Then again, anyone who hates pallies or likes putting a class down without ever playing one usually does say anything they want.
(This is of course assuming, you've never played one.)

I play a pally. They're still a bit OP. So are Warrior tanks.
Rollo Oct 29th 2008 8:20PM
They should have brought a dorf instead of one of the humies. That way their titles and names wouldn't overlap in the first screenshot.
Lemons Oct 29th 2008 8:28PM
Humies? The warhammer blog is over thataway...yeah past the cactus fields...would I lie to you?
BladeeR Oct 30th 2008 5:32AM
And where did mr.smart pull out that humies have something to do with warhammer?
popeguilty Oct 30th 2008 9:57AM
"Humies" is greenskin slang for humans. Has been since back before Blizzard failed to get a license from Games Workshop and renamed their upcoming "Warhammer" game "Warcraft".

I too, hate Shadow Word: Enfeebicide.
Blue_Alien Oct 29th 2008 8:47PM
Doesn't seem like it would be that hard my friends and I have been 5 manning in crap gear ever since the talents came out.
Disturbed Oct 29th 2008 9:16PM
clearly this is before the jotw nerf. both those pallies had endless mana. i am sure it is not possible now.
Alex Ziebart Oct 29th 2008 9:29PM
Holy Paladins don't have access to JotW and Retribution Paladins have posted numbers on live and beta realms that state they can go 6-7 minutes before going out of mana using Divine Storm, Crusader Strike, and their Seal/Judgements. So this is doable post-nerf, but I don't know if it was or not.
Kaldoreii Oct 30th 2008 2:36AM
Gratz guys!!! Gogo bro squad!!!
Spacehunter Oct 29th 2008 9:23PM
Bleeding Hollow represent!
^____________^
Also the JotW nerf isn't really that bad (well it is bad but not crippling if Wisdom is judged). I can see this still being doable since the hotfix.
Jorno Oct 29th 2008 9:30PM
Damn, I knew I should have waited for Meto longer but that nap was sooooo good.
Kumori Oct 29th 2008 9:51PM
