Yay latin!And, yes, Necropolis would be 3rd, because it's a weird ending. And 3rd is the weird declension.

If I am not mistaken, it is also an I stem third declension.

Malkeior, I could be wrong, but I think third -io refers the third conjugation verbs with the -io ending, whereas third I stem refers to third declension nouns with the I stem leading to an irregular plural genitive in the masculine and feminine gender.
