If you're a regular reader of Know Your Lore, you've probably noticed that it's been missing for... oh, a month or so. As I've been going through potential topics, I keep finding myself going, "No, I can't do that, that gets updated in Wrath. No, I can't do that, it'll be a spoiler for Wrath." So, thanks a lot Wrath. Thanks for bringing us rich and interesting lore. Gosh, couldn't you be more boring so I don't feel bad spoiling everyone!?

So what we're going to do today instead is prepare you all for the expansion. We have a lot of Know Your Lore entries already for many of the characters and stories that'll be moving forward in Wrath of the Lich King, so here are some suggestions on what you should read so you have some background as to what the heck is going on in Northrend!

The Titans The story of the Titans is expanded upon immensely in the expansion, so while some of Matthew Rossi's look at the Titans will be changing, it's a good starting point.

The Scythe of Elune The Scythe of Elune questline isn't directly continuted in Wrath of the Lich King, but it ties into the story of Archmage Arugal and the Worgen who are back and badder than ever in Northrend.

Azjol-Nerub Azjol-Nerub is home to the Nerubians, among other horrors such as an Old God and his Faceless Ones which will play a significant role in Wrath as well.

Brann Bronzebeard The great explorer and scholar Brann Bronzebeard makes his first World of Warcraft appearance in the upcoming expansion, playing a significant role in discovering the origins of the Dwarven race and the Titans themselves.

The Scarlet Crusade The stylishly cruel Scarlet Crusade makes a comeback in Wrath of the Lich King under the banner of The Scarlet Onslaught.

High Overload Saurfang This fan favorite character shows he's more than just a man with a big axe in the upcoming expansion, taking a very active hand in the future of the Orcs and the Horde as a whole.

The Ashbringer The Ashbringer is the single most anticipated weapon and topic in all of Warcraft, and it's finally time to see it in action. And boy does it see action.

Tirion Fordring Speaking of the Ashbringer, here's the man who will be carrying it into battle. Taking the helm of the newly formed Argent Crusade, could this man be our answer to the Lich King?

Of course, this isn't all that we've done previously related to Wrath. Consider these my personal favorites that are tied to Wrath of the Lich King storylines. We have plenty more including the dragon aspects among other things, all of which you can see in our Know Your Lore gallery below. It has an amazing way of telling the story that I didn't think possible in an MMO, and I look forward to digging down into it in the upcoming weeks.
