Speaking as a tank, I've learned that there are easy ways to teach uncooperative DPS who don't seem to understand the basics of coordinating with a group. Its an effective method and addresses a variety of problems such as:
DPSing off the primary target in kill order.
Using abilities that prevent or hinder the tank from effectively building aggro.
Aimlessly wandering ahead of the group and aggroing the next pull.
Carelessly not watching aggro generation
The solution is to simply not taunt the mob they aggro off of them. Its easy enough to pick it up once its done eating that baffled and cluelss rogue or hunter. Repeated applications of this method may be required in some particulary tough cases.
A few caveats: I of course, always attempt to make a polite verbal correction before this more direct method is employed and you must be sure that you can handle the rest of the battle with four/nine/24 people.
