Breakfast Topic: The month of the Lich King

There will be midnight launches all over the United States and select countries all over the world. Some of you have already pre-ordered, some will be lining up at the stores, while a few will wait out the initial rush of players who will be needing a bigger boat. Are you excited? How are you playing the game these last few days of The Burning Crusade? Are there things you wish to accomplish before Northrend opens up? Like reach Level 70, maybe? Well, you have about two weeks. Get hopping. The weather's about to get really cold.

I'm more of a casual play - my main is only 39 and I usually play at most 10-15 hours in a week - but I'm absolutely thrilled for the expansion. The sheer amount of new content, the fact that my pally can now get a motorcycle, and knowing that there's not one but two massive new areas for me to explore once I finally get to a high enough level.
Bring it.

Playing Fallout 3, Red Alert 3, finishing Force Unleashed, Lego Batman, and winning enough cash in poker to pay for a year's worth of WoW time.
What? Spend my last two free weeks in WoW before a month-long binge of "holy crap i can't wait to get home from work so I can log in and do all the new stuff for real"? Nope!
Gear doesn't matter, professions only need to be at 350, and I'm nowhere near 70 on any non-70's I have, so forget WoW for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure I won't want to do anything ELSE after the expansion hits, at least for a few months... so I've gotta get in everything I haven't done before it's too late!

Call me crazy but... I could really use a little more time before the expansion hits, I'm finally having so much fun tanking heroics, running kara, collecting badges and even taking a look at mt. Hyjal, and all the cool end game stuff that will be gone in a couple of weeks and we'll be back to questing and leveling... oh nostalgia.
I guess I'll be tanking utgarde keep and the nexus then...

I WAS very excited about Wrath.
But I just canceled my preorder.
Why? Take a look at my username.

Been away from the game for a bit, so I'm gonna collect runes for some shoulders, gloves, and a tabard

Get Champion of the Naaru. I just saw a blue post that you still can, if you had the final quest before 3.0.2 came out.

"Somehow I feel this expansion will bring much, much more depth into the game than the previous expansion.
More Content, and more quality in the content.
More Depth, and more solid lore and character depth.
More beautiful artwork, graphics, sceney and dungeons to explore!"
That's what people said when TBC came. How TBC brought all the stuff you pointed out.
Then people cried wolf...
Won't be different this time...
DK? Yay, grind grind grind!
Wrath? More factions, more factiondepended stuff, more grind.
Ergo more grind. Each expansion brings nothing more than more grind.
Sure I'll enjoy the contend for the first 4-6 months. Once I saw all Northend, once I played my DK, once I run all dungeons in heroic, that's pretty much is.
Raid? No thanks...

With the recent nerf to raids and instances, im doing a sort of safari tour of allllll the stuff I never had a chance to see. My feral Druid is well geared but never geared enough for instances such as Black Temple, Zul Amani or Hyjal. But ever since the patch, ive done and completed all of those along with other raids. It's nice for us who are into the lore but simply were never given a fair shake to experience it :) I know people are farming like crazy but really I want o have my Wrath like a fine dinner, just sit down and appreciate the meal and not wolf it down.
