Jsut stopped playing few days ago. Both my warrior and hunter are already geared enough to start questing in Northerend. I would *HATE* to do new quests without replacing my "old" gear... I mean I will buy WOTLK to actually play it and have fun with new regions, stuff, quests and lore.
Being full-epic would ruin half of the fun, in my opinion... unless you plan to level as fast as you can to see end-game content of course (something I will not do, ever).

I agree that being full epic would ruin half the fun. One of the biggest thrills in HFP is when my purple staff is replaced by a green quest rewards. I wouldn't want to have to vendor (since I can't D/E) all my quest rewards.

Well... in WOTLK stuff will not replace epic stuff as easily as it was in TBC (where you could replace 90% of your gear within 20 minutes of questing in the first Outland region... argh!). That's why I do not like the idea if playing full-epic in Northerend: every quest would give me "useless" rewards :).
