Well, I play Alliance on Earthen Ring and and least you get to win once the queue is over. My queues take just as long and then it's all over but the cryin'. Gains for losing are almost nonexistent when it's a massacre. At least we can win AV... most of the time. I've PVP'd in 3 different Battlegroups and I always seem to be on the side that has no clue.
