No, but you can switch from a spec that favors standing still and bombing away to another which does higher sustained DPS while moving... think Destro vs. Afflic. Locks. I don't know mages, but I'm sure some specs are better for different fights than others.

The incessant QQ'ing over why one class will be harmed by change over another gets really old.... as if Blizzard hasn't thought about these issues at all.
