"how can you find fun in that situation?"Hunter - Perhaps you want to tame pets? Perhaps you like doing pulls? Perhaps you enjoy controlling the flow of combat with traps and shots? Perhaps you enjoy having an ability that sheds all threat?Mage - Perhaps you like to have multiple AoE abilities that are suited to various situations? Perhaps you like to control the flow of a fight with sheeps, chill effects and frost novas? Perhaps you enjoy casting Arcane Intellect on your warrior tank to try to knock some sense into him?Warlock - Perhaps you enjoy having multiple pets available on demand to augment your abilities for a particular encounter? Perhaps you enjoy DoTing up everything in sight? Perhaps you want to be able to turn into a massive demon and prevent a wipe because the tank went down in a 5-man? Perhaps you like planting your seed in unsuspecting mobs?Rogue - You win on this one. Can't see why anyone would want to play a rogue. I'm kidding of course. Perhaps you enjoy stunlocking a mob to lower incoming damage on a tank. Perhaps you enjoy evasion tanking to prevent a wipe if the tank goes down in a five man? Perhaps you enjoy having a reliable threat dump? Perhaps you like to "/me pickpockets you for 57g."My point is that there is so much flavor to the pure classes that there are plenty of reasons outside of their DPS to want to play one. I think the only real concern is how attractive the classes are to a raid leader. This is why the theoretical DPS of pure classes is still intended to be a bit higher than hybrids.
