Breakfast topic: Boast your titles
A lot of WoW folks seem to be collectors: Pets, Mounts, even hats. Collecting titles is the next big thing. It's kind of fun to display some hard earned achievement proudly to other players. Rágnaros of Duskwood asked in general chat. He's interested in knowing which titles are most popular and most rare. It also adds some flavor to the game. Several responders reported having five or six titles.I'm not much of a title hunter. A friend of mine was running UBRS for the Jenkins title so I was happy to come along. It was relatively easy to get with a handful of 70s and was fun to get. My job was to sprint about and aggro as many dragons as I could, then I dropped a Hurricane to join in quick AOE attack which easily killed at least fifty of them instantly. Some players are disillusioned with the proliferation of titles. A title that is held by many hardly adds to a players uniqueness. At this point, Jenkins seems to be the most common title among players. I'm hoping for something that suits me better in Wrath.
I'm curious about how people view titles:
What titles do you have?
How do you decide which titles to go for or to display?
Is there an acheivement that you believe should be accompanied by a title, but is not?
Do you have any titles you're not proud of?
If you could name your own title, what would it be?

I only go for titles which suit my characters. For example, my druid has the Guardian of Cenarius title. I've kept the Hand of A'dal title on my hunter because there's nothing else that suits it so far, but as soon is there is a title that fits I'll grab it.

Of the ones I currently have my fav is Sergeant.
I love it, although if I knew back in the day that those titles would be what they are I would have gone for Knight.
Kaeb Nov 6th 2008 8:53AM
Similar to Burt, I have Master Sergeant. Had I known how rare they'd become some day, I'd have bumped my rank a little higher back in the day.
Also have Ambassador, the Hallowed

I agree, guardian of cenarious is the perfect title for a druid. I'm getting the argent crusader for my paladin as well!

I do titles that fit my character, too. Getting Argent Champion for my Paladin, Elder for my Mage, and Brewmaster for my Dwarf Warrior. Would like Hallowed for my Priest, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just sits at 60 for the rest of my WoW career.

I'm going for Argent Champion on my paladin, but as of right now, I have
Champion of the Naaru
of the Shattered Sun
Jenkins
the Hallowed
and Ambassador.
I usually use Ambassador unless there's a raid wipe in which case I'll swap it to Jenkins briefly.

My fav title: Bloodsail Admiral Margaritasun (AKA. BAM). Pirate power!
Macgayver Nov 6th 2008 8:26AM
Agreed! I've got Bloodsail Admiral on my new priest. However, the best titles are those that cannot be obtained anymore -> Knight-Champion baby!
Sargentd Nov 6th 2008 8:07AM
Currently I have Jenkins, of the Hallowed, and Bloodsail Admiral.
If I could I would bring back all the Archmage and Archdruid ones, but not for just the 1st one to 80.

You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work and great content.

i wear a title for about a week. then i get bored with it or decide i may be boasting about something stupid and go back to just my name.
damn i'm weird.
ibcfreak Nov 6th 2008 8:10AM
My rogue Keturakk has Jenkins, Hallowed, Champion of the Naaru, and Blood Gaurd from way back in the day =D My other chars I havent really tried to get titles for...My sham has Senior Sergeant, and my Priest has Scout...woo!
Zetri Nov 6th 2008 8:10AM
Got Jenkins on my priest at the moment, but I do not like it. I'll try to get "Merrymaker" when Winter's Veil comes out. Merrymaker Mioth sounds nice for a healer in my opinion :)
On my mage, I've got Sergeant, and I love it. Maybe during the expansion, I'll find a better one
Elmo Nov 6th 2008 8:11AM
got, Champion of the Naaru, Hand of A'dal, Jenkins and the Ambassador titles
DarkSpade Nov 6th 2008 8:13AM
Haven't seen a title yet that I would make me swap out my Knight title.
JLocke Nov 6th 2008 8:13AM
Currently on my rogue, Im boasting of the Shattered Sun, Champion of the Naaru, Jenkins (of course :p) and most recently the Hallowed. I could have gotten Hand of Adal but I got lazy and forgot where I left my quest off at.
I really hope they add more titles in Wrath, ones that are easy and hard to attain, not all of this "rush to 80 or max your skills and get a spiffy title".
Dotixi Nov 6th 2008 8:14AM
I only have Hallowed which I didn't even try for until it was almost complete on its own. I have titles hidden so I dont really pay attention to them.
Vivimord Nov 6th 2008 8:14AM
I have eight titles:
Sergeant,
Champion of the Naaru,
of the Shattered Sun,
the Hallowed,
Ambassador,
Guardian of Cenarius,
Jenkins, and
Bloodsail Admiral.
Quite close to getting The Diplomat. At this point in time, "Ambassador" suits my character quite well, though I'm currently displaying "the Hallowed" as I recently obtained it. I would like the implementation of an Achievement that rewards a title based on, funnily enough, how many titles one has. For example, if one attains ten (or even 15) titles, a title such a "the Charismatic", "the Revered" or "the Renowned" should be awarded. :)
Jamesisgreat Nov 6th 2008 10:02AM
I'm currently working on 'the diplomat' title as well (damn you Timbermaw, DAMN YOU!). From the comment section here, it seems as if this is the most rare title right now.
thrasher Nov 6th 2008 8:15AM
yes currently having the Gladiator title, Centurion and the Hallowed
think ill keep my Gladiator
