WoW Moviewatch: Redshift: Pursuit
Redshift: Pursuit, by Slashdance, is a direct sequal to the piece "Redshift: Ty'zamar and Aislynn," and pretty much cements Redshift as an episodic series. A "diviner" has a foreseen the death of a Night Elf, and the conflict ensues from there. We brought you the trailer for this piece back in October, and are happy to be able to see the final product.
I was impressed with "Redshift: Pursuit", mostly for story and narrative purposes. I felt like the causal action from scene to scene was fairly meaningful, though the opening sequence was a little slow for my tastes. (It's probably just my personal preferences, but I like openings to get banging to action right away.)
Of course, the shout out to the Amani trolls really brings the story "home" to Azeroth, for me. Inclusiveness with the game's lore helps us identify characters and motivations, and provides a more solid base for the action to take place. I will definitely be interested to see what Redshift brings us next.

Just pure awesome. I had seen the Redshift interlude before, but didn't know it was the same guy. Just watched all of em in sequence, and I am very impressed. Great story, great voice acting, great use of in game visuals and character models. Looking forward to the next Redshift.
Favorite part was the skull coming out of the lake. Very nice touch. :)

Hadn't seen the redshift series before, very impressive. Good story, good VA, and very cool camera work. I wish priest bubbles really did knock arrows away like that.

Yet again /dance creates a masterful piece of Machinima, the characters are lovable, not just because of how witty they are, but because how well they go with Lore, The Night elves have had wars with bouth their High elve cousins, and more notibly the Trolls, and that is what makes Redshift so perfect for me, it presents of great story, and the back story of lore so well, even the fight scenes and spells are inkeeping with a lovely blend of lore and ingame machanics.
Not only that but it's almost real, I watch this series and think of Role playing, and realy makes me wish I created my main on a RP realm.
Also I'm happy with how the land of Azeroth was presented, the dream like city of Darnassus, the Boat travaling past the center sea storms, and just the sweeping landscape shots alone!
A masterpiece of Machinima.

Very impressive stuff.
Probably the best WoW machinima I've seen. Delivers what Return II promised.

I wish more WoW machinima was of this calibre. The first /dance machinima I saw was the winning entry for the Ataris music video contest - be sure to look that up if you haven't seen it.

It's unimaginable to me that the industry hasn't yet snatched up this promising young producer, Sam Pierce. His musical scores alone rival the finest I've heard from Hollywood, and his scripts are imaginative, humorous, and polished.
A lot of folks in the industry are going to rue the day they let Pierce slip through their fingers and get hired by somebody else.
Producers and agents, are you listening?
