Weigh in on the downtime debacle
It is no secret that servers have been seeing an awful lot of maintenance lately, and today has been the worst. While the blues have been encouraging and supportive, the frustration has been mounting, and many players are threatening to call it quits.
Of course, players threaten this on a daily basis, so it comes as no shock.
The responses on the forums, when they are available, on our own site, and in our team mail have made the WoW Insider team somewhat curious. How are you feeling about Blizzard today?

Another day and more "extended maintanence..." Are you kidding me Blizz? I will be happy if these extended periods are necessary for a succesful Wrath launch tonight, but somehow, I just feel this is an outlook on the next week or so of Wow.

I actually got alot of work done on Tuesday. I wish I COULD just quit the game because of all the time I'd get back.
Once Thursday hits, most of my motivation for work will tank right along side the servers. It's gonna suck working through it.

now i'm expecting the opposite of the TBC launch (pretty much smooth/flawless) into nothing but....

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't mind, seeing that I myself work with software and understand the headaches that can happen. Unfortunately, this happened on a holiday that I didn't have to work. :-{
All in all though, I do give Blizzard credit for the work they do and I know when stuff like this happens, they make it their number one priority to resolve it. Do you really think they want millions of unhappy and irate customers? I highly doubt it.

This extended down time has just made me wonder if they are rushing the expansion release. I understand a company wanting their game on the shelf before the holiday shopping season, but perhaps they would have been better served waiting a bit.
I plan on still installing the game on Thursday, but I also have plans to see the new James Bond movie this weekend because I would not be surprised if the server bounces up and down like a maniacal three year old all weekend.

Well, I was already behind on my NaNoWriMo, and Wrath isn't going to help, so forcing me not to play WoW isn't *totally* counterproductive right now. >.>
Hopefully they'll be stable enough tonight for me to suffer through 19 more marks of AV. (I like AV - it's the whiners that make it painful.)
