As if we have another choice of where to start? I think i will start directly at Icecrown and after defeating the Lich King i will head to Borean Tundra and start from there :P

ya, you could grind up a level or two in the outlands, finishing quests and such, less xp yes, little slower yes, but on a pvp server a lot safer, and on any server, a lot less lag. also you could always try skipping the beginner zones and go straight to sholazar, harder quests and bigger monsters, but more xp, and less competition
