For the curious, from my earlier postings at Curse.

It takes a while for disc install, like 30 minutes on a solid system. Upon install, game appears to reinstall patch 3.03. You already have these downloaded though so there is no wait. If there is to be post launch patch, it appears they will not make it live until they hit the Northrend server gerbil.

I asked on the WoW forums when I can activate key?

Blue response (Orylia) : Don't know for sure yet friend, but really no rush. Even if you upgrade, the realms aren't ready for you to travel to Northrend yet.

We are all itching to get there, it is incredibly cool....no pun intended.
